Had her last term. I was not impressed. She just reads from the textbook, which I can read myself, yet it is expected for you to come to the lectures. I wish she would have contributed with her own powerpoint slides and explanations. I felt like she did not prepare for her lectures. Very abstract und unclear explanations.

Marta is an amazing professor. One of the most knowledgeable! Many people may complain about her being unfair, but it's just because she is very specific and precise. She will not spoon-feed you, and you need to think. Make connections. I learned lots and really enjoyed her class!

Dr. Marin is one of the most genuine and truly inspiring profs I've ever had the privilege of having. If you're looking to be spoon-fed with powerpoint slides and the ever ubiquitous myth of corridas and flamenco Spain, this is not the course for you. SP324 showed me "the good, the bad and the ugly" aspects and I loved every moment of it.

I studied Spanish with Marta Marin about 3 years ago and for me, she is an excellent teacher, very helpful, funny, etc. The classes were really interesting and she really made her best for us to enjoy the classes and improve our Spanish skills. She is REALLY a passionate teacher, devoted to her students. I keep good memories of my Spanish classes.

Spanish cultural studies was a great class, and i wouldn't have wanted anyone else to teach it. A brilliant and kind prof who perhaps down plays her intelligence. the nice thing was that she was interdisiplanry taking views from many points and facets of life. the class was slightly easy which at times was frustrating, but enjoyable none the less.
