Martin is a fantastic teacher. He explained the topics extremely well, and even did extra questions on the board to aid our understanding. I would 10/10 take a class with him again.

Marten is an amazing instructor. His lectures are very light. He usually performs experiments during the lecture session to make you understand some concepts. His quizzes are relatively easy. He likes to make students participate in his class. He makes chem 1500 easy to understand. He is accessible outside his class and after his class. Just ask!

Marten is a really awesome prof. Yes, his grading is tough but compared to Norm, he usually asks easier questions on tests. But, it is first year chemistry and you need to work for it. Lots and lots of examples to help you understand and near final night review sessions to keep you on track. Definitely recommend!!

Comment:

Marten is hilarious in his own quirky way. He loves his model kits! And he demonstrates things visually in any way he can to help us understand. He does a lot of demos, which usually backfire, but that just makes him more comical. I was worried at the start of the semester but have really learned to love him! Great prof.

As a nursing major, I loved taking Lettinga, he was undoubtedly the "BEST" professor ever. I hated missing the couple of classes that I had to miss. Unlike Montoya, he makes you pleased to be attending his class. He's a marvelous person. You will be encouraged to learn from him. You will not regret taking his classes.

Probably THE single best prof I have ever had, and I'm in my fourth year now. Extremely apporachable, helpful, good sense of humour, and knows what he is teaching. I wish he was teaching in Kamloops so I could take another class with him. WL campus has a real gem in Marten Lettinga
