I wish everyone could have a chance to take theory with Prof Amlin. Not only is he an absolute genius in the field, but he makes the class so entertaining with accidental jokes, banter with the students, and going on tangents. 11/10 would recommend to any BU student.

Totally awkward and unintentionally hilarious. His bizarre antics alone make this class worth taking. Honors theory freaked me out at first but it calms down quickly. I wouldn't call it an easy A but Amlin is so enthusiastic and willing to help and explain that doing the work to get an A isn't all that bad.

It is the rare professor (particularly at the graduate level) who cares about his students as genuinely as Amlin. His priority in class is sending us into the world knowledgeable and capable, and he contributes so significantly to our success. He's a fabulous teacher.

I've had him for 2 years for composition and thoery. He's among the most qualified professors at BU, one of the professors who continue the progress of BU's CFA. Without him, I would leave BU. He's also my only male role model/idol figure. Simply genius.
