Fantastic teacher with a sense of humor. Rock kit isn't really neccessary, tests are easy if you go for the review. He practically gives you the test at the review. Don't take him if you're not going to attend class.

First, buy the rock kit. Second, go to class. Never miss. No matter what. The labs are easy and lots of points, but if you miss, you're screwed. He reviews for the tests and he does a good job at that. He wants everyone to do good, so he talks about what needs to be talked about and not BS. Don't need the book at all. Not even the manual. Also nice
