I LOVED THIS CLASS. Fergus knows what he is talking about, organizes it and presents it in the most amazing and effective way. He knows A LOT about this subject and I'd say it was the best and most important class I've taken at Fordham. EVERYONE should take this class--it opens your eyes, he's an easy grader and shows that you can change the world!

Dr. Fergus is a ggggggoood guy. Fair grader, small workload, and generally a very nice person. The texts are to the left of Michael Moore, but Dr. Fergus is fairly non-partisan in the classroom

Laughably bad ideologue (full disclosure: I often agree with his politics) who has made a mockery of the classroom -- has all the sublety of a low-energy televangelist. In fairness, he's an eminently likeable guy, and an easy, easy grade. If you need to boost the GPA, take him, show up to class, and you'll be good to go.

i heard he was easy but he started to grade pretty hard. Unfair on his personal grading and makes you do these pointless evaluations of other ppl's papers. that's waste of time but the class its self is good. he can be personal and nasty if you're on his bad side.

One of the best professors I've had at Fordham! He's friendly, easy going, and very fair. There's a lot of readings assigned, but as long as you take notes and at least look at the readings you don't have to have read everything. He actually cares about his students. Take him, you won't regret it!
