Comment:

Prosono was the rudest professor I've ever had. With this being an online class, I reached out to him with a couple of questions of different occasions and got spoken down to EVERY time. He's very unapproachable and is completely unwilling to help our with any questions. DO NOT take this teacher if you can help it.

Comment:

Took for two online Soc classes (Medical and Law). Very hard tests, timed and only one question at a time. The curve at the end of the semester ended up raising grades almost two full letter grades (C to A). Even after reading text the tests were very tricky. Extra credit available but not easy.

Professor isn't easy to talk to, often he talks down to students and is a little rude. He often talks in cryptic ways making his lectures hard to understand. Would not take him again if possible.

This is the worst professor I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He doesn't understand that this is a gen ed class and expected you to know things already. He blatantly refused to meet with me when I had questions with my grade. Not only that but yelled at me via email and called me stupid. He is arrogant and rude.

DOCTOR Prosono, and yes you must call him DOCTOR or he gets very offended, is the worst professor I have had at MSU. I took his class online and he was the rudest most arrogant teacher I have ever had. He basically made fun of people for asking questions or just simply wouldn't answer. His tests and quizzes were impossible and I'm an A student. BAD

He is the rudest human being on the planet. If you ask him a question, he gets angry and gives an extremely sarcastic reply. His tests are super difficult, and the only thing you do in the class is read the book. I would not advise taking SOC 150 with him online.

He is a great teacher! very funny, engaging, knowledgeable, and helpful. His tests are really hard, and you have to study a lot, but he's a good teacher. If I could offer any advice, it would be to READ. THE. BOOK.

Marvin is probably one of the best professors I've had at Missouri State. You do have to go to class and pay attention, but he makes it so interesting. He's willing to work with you, he he gives a lot of points and extra credit, and he drops your lowest test and quiz. The tests aren't super easy, but if you study you'll do fine.

Dr. Prosono is by far one of my favorite professors. He engages the class and you feel like your opinion matters in discussion. He offers a TON of opportunities for extra credit. Go to class every day, take good notes, read the text, and you will get an A for sure. He is funny and intelligent. Love him.

Dr. Prosono is a very great professor. He is very intelligent, and engages the class very well. He always asks for the classes opinion and makes it easy for every opinion to be heard. The quizzes are easy if you take really good notes on everything he says in class and pay attention well.

Prosono is very smart, but in his lectures he will ask questions about other cultures and expect the students to know the answer. He's very interested in Brazil, and will make you read about it and will reference it in almost every lecture. He offers online test reviews, which is nice. His tests are fairly difficult, as are the quizzes.

In my opinion-taking an online class with him was dreadful. He is so intelligence but too intelligence to be teaching.You can't keep track of your grade through the course of the semester.The subject matter that we were covering was very involved & comprehensive. The lack of involvement in the class made it hard to fully understand the material.

Dr, Prosono is my favorite professor that I've had. He is hilarious and one of the smartest people you will ever meet, on any subject.(He speaks 5 languages, fluently.) You need to study or you will do poorly in any class that he teaches. Take him if you love Sociology and truly want to learn. If you are looking for an easy class, look elsewhere.

He is an extremely intelligent and kind man. You can tell he really wants you to succeed. Sometimes it was unclear what was due and when but if you ask/email he will always help you and create clarity. I would recommend taking his class! He is passionate about what he does... and really funny too!

A very smart man, and extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter. You can tell he really truly cares and wants you to care and appreciate as well. Not an easy class, although it seems to be at first, but not to hard if you just pay attention to what he says, and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. He offers a ton.
