honestly biggest waste of my time ever. She doesnt teach real history, she teaches things that happened in the past and things that are not important. If your down to read a bunch of letters from people that you've never heard of and then get tested on a quote from that letter she is the teacher for you.

LOVED her class. Yes it was difficult but if you go to the si sessions you are good to go. the essays are pretty much outlined there. I never opened the book and made a "b" (would have made an "A" but I didn't put much effort into the final. GO TO THE SI SESSIONS!!!! and it helps to know your TA too. Brennan made history fun.

Brennan is an amazing teacher! This course is writing intensive, and yeah you have to study but it won't take over your life! She gives a review 2wks. prior to exams and if you go to the SI sessions it's not hard to get an A. Try not to miss class because the powerpoint she gives, she does not post them on TRACS. Not as hard as people say,TAKE HER!

I personally LOVED professor Brennan! It's evident she's passionate about history and it makes the class a lot more enjoyable. I've never liked history and she actually made the material interesting and I ended up making an A in the class =) While it's definitely not a blow off class, none of the history classes at Texas State are =/

I learned a lot in this class. She explained everything really well and in a way that we could all understand. One of the first history classes I haven't wanted to fall asleep in. The tests are hard! But the SI sessions really do help and I would have been overwhelmed by the tests if I didn't go to them or at least get the info they give out

Nice lady for the most part but it was the most difficult history class I've ever taken. I have always gotten As in history but I barely managed to pass this class. Her tests are hard too.

She was ridiculously difficult. I love History and have always had an A in my history classes but I got a C even with the amount of studying I did, which was a lot. Her lectures and the text don't match the tests at all, and the tests are all an essay question and a little bit of multiple choice. Hard class, I do not recommend.

She hates people messing around with laptops and texting...will call you out. SI's help you with essay outlines.Sit in the front.Get to know your grader

She's a nice lady, just don't make her mad. she will embarrass anyone who disrespects her. Her lectures are like she's reading a story...it really helped me to pay attention. She tries to skip over the boring stuff as much as possible. She lets you out of class early & gives bonus points out sometimes. Attend SI Sessions, they really help!

SI sessions are EXTREMELY helpful for this class. Take advantage of that. They help you develop your possible essays for the exams.

She talks very fast and sometimes it's hard to keep up, and there's a lot of reading with this course. The exams are hard, but she does show a genuine interest in the subject. If you do take her class make sure you show up the days after exams, last days of the semester etc. as she hands out free credit pretty librally if you do!
