Comment:

Very nice lady. Helped me to improve a few nagging errors in my writing and took a genuine interest in helping me improve. Show up to class, read the book, and if you aren't that good of a writer, submit drafts prior to due dates. Do this and you will be fine. She's very energetic and interested in the topic but a bit disorganized.

I found her to be a very nice woman but often unclear and absentminded. She was very lenient with assignments and you could clearly see she tried to teach us. The only problem was I felt as though she was teaching things I learned in the 3rd grade. This class was very easy- show up, read the stories, and you will do well.

She's super funny and sweet. I loved discussing poetry in her class. We didn't spend as much time on the stuff the quizzes covered, so I had to read the book a lot to do well. I enjoyed her as a prof and would recommend her.

Professor Pringle is responsible for showing me that I really like poetry. I expected to hate it. She's very kind and VERY respectful to EVERYONE, but she grades pretty hard. She likes to have everyone write their thesis's on the board and let neighbors read papers. I hate that. I really liked her, but I'm a little disappointed I got a C.

I don't know what people are complaining about. Pringle is energetic, entertaining, and EXTREMELY lenient. She expects a lot out of you, but she's willing to help. The only people who really don't see how awesome she is are the pretentious and condescending literature majors who think that they know more than she does (how many PhD's do you have??)

I completely agree with the previous comment. Class felt like a series of hoop jumping and waiting for the judge to hold up a score card. Way too much pressure to be enjoyable, even for an upper level course.

So much of your grade falls on relatively few assignments. Be aware that she looks for specific kinds of writing. I read a paper a friend (in the same class) wrote and it was trite, grammatically unsound, and the writing was just BAD. She earned an "A" while I put in hours and wrote a fundamentally sound paper...and I earned a "B." Avoid her.

She's a nice lady, but lacks clarity in her teaching style. Grades tough, but if you put in the hard work then you should end up with a "B" or "C" without any problems. Tends to have her "favorites" in classes and is more inclined to give those people better grades and attention. Lots of sharing work aloud. Be prepared to be criticized.

Friendly professor and appreciative to various opinions regarding the assigned readings. Be aware that every aspect of your writing (grammar, structure, and spelling) will influence your grade. Grades strictly, but devotes entire class periods to helping us understand correct English grammar and rules. Not easy, but not extremely difficult either.
