Comment:

She was nice, but graded hard and expected a lot from students. Homework every class. Lots of quizes and tests. Requires listening logs as well. If you missed any classes she didnt work with you to make anything up. Missed tests were done at the very end of the semester. Had to attend 2 concerts outside of class for a grade

Dr. Nacho assigns quite a bit of work. Journals, listening logs, reading assignments, blah blah blah. The biggest problem with this class is the fact that you must attend 2 concerts outside of class on your own time, and write reviews. This was not what I signed up for.

Loved this class. She is super sweet, very clear, and very helpful! She takes things at a good pace so you really learn how to play the guitar. Definitely would recommend it if you're interested in learning to play.

i absolutely loved my classes with mrs. yancho. she is the best lady ever! i took mus. 150, mus. 152 and mus. 101 with her and i passed them all with flying colors thanks to her amazing ability to connect with her students. i would love to take all of those classes again with her!

Mari is an awesome instructor and she really knows her stuff. The class was fun and we learned a lot. I gave her a 5 for easy because if you practice and show up to class you will learn it. If you want to learn how to play the guitar..this is the class!

Comment:

Mrs. Yancho is a good teacher. I never played the guitar prior to this class so I have learned a lot. The experienced guitar players seem to take it for an easy "A" but then never practice the songs she assigns. She is more of a coach than a teacher and she is definately worth taking if you want to learn or, improve your playing. If you practice, you will be fine.

Great teacher to work with, but a warning to guitar players, even if you play well by ear or read tabs, you have to take this class seriously. Twinkle twinkle little star seems easy in concept but is not. You have to read site read the music and can't fake it and play by ear she can tell. Frustrating for the advanced rock shredder

SOOOOOO unorganized. Never gave back assignments. A little spaced out. Gives class extra projects if you miss class due to and holiday. We did so much for a 1 creidt hour course. I would never take her. Always off task.

Oh my gosh!! Best teacher ever!! i would recommend her to anyone that doesnt want to take this class bc she is the best. shes patient funny as ever and very interesting!! she really knows her stuff and she makes it extremely fun to learn!!!
