I took History since 1877. He is my favorite professor so far. Tests and quizzes are easy as long as you take the time to study. I am not a fan of history but he made the classes enjoyable. He is very passionate about what he is teaching.

I was very worried about coming into Johnson's class. This feeling reflected on my first quiz when I got a D (good thing quizzes are only 25 points). I studied much harder for the exams & scored in the top 10%. Really not a bad class AT ALL! 1. Go to class. 2. Take good notes & pay attention 3. Study hard & you will be A-OK! He is a very nice guy

Fun class. Do your work and you will be fine. He is willing to work with you and wants to help you succeed. But make sure to go to class, most all tests are based off the lecture.

I loved Johnson! He was a really understanding professor. Didn't use the book for anything other than inquizatives, so it was heavily relied on by lecture. SI was helpful but not necessary. He made history like a story which made it easy to learn.

Phenomenal professor. Best lecturer I've ever had. Uses no powerpoints or supplemental learning so that is hard for kids who skip and don't focus.

I honestly didn't do well in Johnson's American Historical Survey class, but loved him as a teacher so I'm getting my Humanities credit in his Eastern World class. He's a very "old school" type of teacher- no power points, but has an occasional video/picture. His lectures are so intriguing, but you MUST attend class to pass.

Mr. Johnson is a fantastic teacher. He really loves history and it shows in his lectures. The only assignments are the tests and quizzes in class. He offers extra credit through out the semester.

Mr. Johnson is hilarious, and you can obviously tell that he loves history. You better show up to class because I missed two classes in a row and was so lost on some of the material; only the SI sessions saved me concerning the stuff I missed. Speaking of which, the SI sessions can be heaven sent. Also, try to not be late. He hates that.

He is a very nice professor and very willing to help. His test were easy and are really based off of the notes that he gives during lectures. He doesnt try to trick you he just words them so that you could think about it. I totally recommend him and he is also not that bad to look at.

He is very laid back and a pretty interesting teacher. He is very clear about what is going to be on the tests and the tests are all multiple choice and simple essays. I really enjoyed his class because it was fairly interesting and as long as you show up and pay attention you will pass.

Johnson is a very solid college teacher. he lectures the material that he feels is important to do well on his tests. tests are multiple choice and essay, so the tests are not impossible. SI can be your best friend, but he is willing to answer your questions

He is very interactive with his class, but you need to be prepared for his tests. He will inform you what they are over, from this point to this point, but he expects you to take efficient notes. You need to at least skim the book and learn a little background, but he is very helpful in the long run!

This teacher has a nice personality, but i would like to warn you, this class is hard! I don't mind history, but it is not a subject on need to be tested on so harshly. He is unclear and rambles on. The tests seem overwhelming and impossible. Nice guy, but I would advise you to stay away.

Johnson is an great teacher, but is in a way a non traditional teacher. There is alot of in class participation. A few times a student knew more on a subject than he did, and he let them take the floor and teach. Guys tend to like his class more than girls do. If you want to get a good grade more than you want to learn this isn't the class for you.

At first he seemed like he would be a good professor. He gave a study guide and the essay questions, but when it came to the test none of the given material was relative to the test questions. I studied and asked for his help and still got a C. He seems like he is helpful, but in the end he really isn't.

He is has an ODD since of humor. He tries to engage you, but it doesnt work. The test questions are manipulative and deceiving. He says if you fail his class, its job security for him, because you'll have to retake the class. 9 page paper is required. AVOID Johnson, it was a constant headache. 1st test is over 500 pages of material!!
