You're lucky if you get Maureen, she's going to become one of your favourite professors, had her for two diff courses, both stats for psych. She has amazing lectures, actually teaches stats properly, her thing is "its better we work through problems in class until you get it, so you're not confused and stressed out during tests or assignments."

One of the best profs I've had at Ryerson. She makes her expectations clear and will give you constructive feedback on how to improve. Gives students so many opportunities to do well and really cares about her students' success. Weekly mini-assignments and quizzes that relate to the midterm and exam.

You should consider yourself lucky if you have Maureen! She is AMAZING. We stay in touch still! Yes, she does make you work, but in the end it's worth it. I used to misunderstand and resent stats, then I took stats with her and now it's my fave and everything is clear. The perceptions class is fun and useful, I still apply it to my everyday life!

Maureen is amazing. If you put in the effort you'll do well. See her after class, sit at the front and pay attention. Don't take her class if you're not ready for a bit of a challenge.

The class should be named Biology of Perception, as this class was so heavy biology based and quite misleading from the course description. Questions for short answer tests were given a week before where you had to read the weekly readings, do external research and rewrite your answer from memory all for a 60%. This course structure needs fixing.

Dr. Reed is one of the best profs at Ryerson! You won't have an A handed to you but with good work, it is attainable! The midterm was easy if you studied. The assignment was long, but she didn't destroy anyone's GPA. The mc on the final was very unfair, and it was probably designed to lower the high class average. Overall, she wants you to do well!

One of the kindest professors at the school. She actually cares how well you do in her classes. She treats you with respect, even if it is tough love. Take all the advice she gives you - it won't just help you in stats, but in life.

Amazing Professor. She teaches very effectively and efficiently. Make sure to attend class or your will fail. Reading the textbook is unnecessary. However, you should do it if you aren't that great in math, and you need to slow down. She goes very fast through topics so at times it is hard to keep up. Fortunately the TAs are available to tutor.

Dr. Reed cares about her students. She has quizzes and assignments every week so you can get an easy 30%. To do well you have to review her notes and do the practice questions she gives you. Midterm and final were the same format as quizzes. She marks everything fast so you can see what you did wrong. Overall, one of the best profs at Ryerson.

As with many professors at Ryerson, this prof hates her job too. She puts students into 2 categories: 1) brown-nosers 2) you don't try hard enough. If you fall into category 2), she will despise you. Need extra help? GOOD LUCK!!!! She will straight up say, "look through your notes". She made me want to drop out of uni.

Dr. Reed really knows what she is talking about. She's been teaching stats for a long time, so if you go to lectures and listen to what she is teaching you'll do well. If you're confused she'll help you figure out what to do to get back on the right track. Overall an amazing prof.

She is the best professor ever. She helped me finally understand stats after suffering in the first stats with another prof. PSY 514 was an AMAZING class. What you learn actually applies to real life in many cases. I learned many things about myself. She is hilarious. Fun lectures & demos. Smart, sweet, & inspirational. No midterm, essay or final.

Maureen is one of my favourite profs at ryerson, might even be my favourite honestly. I was fortunate enough to get her twice (stats I and II) and am having her again next sem. I am not good at math but with her amazing teaching, I was able to achieve amazing marks in both classes. Also, she is super funny. LOVE her, recommend her 100%!!

She is an amazing professor and I'm taking another class with her just because she is honestly the best prof I have had in my 3 years at ryerson! She made stats actually easy for me and turned hard concepts into the simplest thing. She is a fair marker, marks super quick and she really wants her students to do well! Stats made easy!

Surprisingly, found 411 more challenging than 511. She's really sassy (but she wouldn't be Maureen w/o the sass + it makes class funny, sometimes). Ultimately, she teaches what you need to know & teaches the material well. Even though there are tedious weekly assign's & quizzes, it really does help! Amazing prof. She doesn't get $$ for nothing!

I began by being skeptical of Dr Reed's teaching style, but have taken 3 different courses with her over my time at Ryerson. I can honestly say she grew on me in the best way possible. She is engaging, dedicated and I am thankful for her commitment to her students. If you don't like her the first few weeks, hang in there. She will grow on you.

Great professor! Never thought a history class could be so delightfully engaging. If it were possible, I would most definitely take this class again (or another course under her tutelage).

Amazing prof. Never a dull moment in her lectures and sets students up for success by clearly stating what will be on tests and expected in assignments. Finally a prof I can connect to as another human being and not just some talking head in front of the class! Would highly recommend you take a class with her.
