He's AMAZING. Very funny. Super knowledgeable. Grade is made up of two short essays, three exams, and one small assignment. No final. All lectures recorded. Lectures are interesting. He doesn't care about people using electronics or coming in late (probably because it was a big lecture). His TA's teach a couple lectures. Exams really easy!

Comment:

Funny professor with enthusiastic lectures. He makes this class surprisingly interesting and I looked forward to our lectures. Yes, as previously noted, you're graded on only a couple of exams and short papers. That being said, if you attend class and do the required readings, then its VERY straightforward.

Horrible college Professor, & even worse as a person. He is a complete fraud, but pretends to be fair. Like other Far Leftists in every US college, are food for the left leaning student sharks, & any who are not are given bad grades. His grading system is absurd to all students with drawn out irrelevant reading assignments. Stay away from him. F+

The whole class was 3 exams 2 quizzes and 2 short papers. Exam questions are multiple choice but often unconventional. His questions allow for more than one right answer even though only one is graded as correct by the scan-tron. He is very enthusiastic in his lectures but the large class size (80) meant he had little time for each student.

He's a really great professor and everyone had a great time in this class. The tests are really easy as long as you: go to class, pay attention, and study from the slides. Also, there were only a couple short papers and they were tough to write because the prompts were abstract. Beware a couple of pop quizzes that happen as well.

Tests are take home so the textbook is definitely helpful if you want to pass. Sweet guy! I want to take another class with him! Don't use electronics in his class, he will embarrass you even if you're in the back row.

This professor is easy enough to pass. Kind of just rambles a lot and digresses a lot, but funny guy no matter if he's on topic or not. 4 Take Home Exams, which are all really easy to get an A on. Recommend taking this class if you're wanting an easy A no matter if you're a polysci major, IR major, or satisfying your distribution requirements.

Professor Cunningham is the best polsci professor at the university. He's incredibly passionate about Lincoln's political thought so it makes this class more rewarding than most. Easy grader, just make sure to cite. Weekly 1-2 paragraph papers and a 10-15 page final. Attendance is mandatory; won't take attendance but he knows when you are not there

There will be 4 tests. he'll use 3 to grade you. He gives questions that'll be on the exam. For instance exam is on 4 chapters he'll give you 400 question and exam will include a 100 of those 400. Some questions are more factual and required memorizing.

The thing with this course was that he gives you sample questions that are gonna be on the test. He gives you 300+, but if you memorize them all correctly, you'll do fine. i use to memorize each one word for word and would finish in like 15 minutes. His lectures are boring, but he is strict on attendance during exam day would def recommend him

I didn't really like his don't be late or don't take this exam policy because he allowed people on a 2nd exam who were late to take it due to his own error. He pretty much went back on his policy. He has good clarity and background knowledge of the material, but for a 100 level course it's pretty messy.

Cunningham pick favorites in his classes. Luckily, he liked me so I was all set but some kids were not so fortunate. He was always willing to offer help. Midterm & Final are 100 mc questions, 90% of which come from quizzes that he has posted online as practice. He's a really great guy -- Definitely take a class with him if you can!!

He was my internship advisor, as well as my Mass Politics professor. I credit a large part of the job I got right out of college thanks to his recommendation. Always there if I needed help, and forgiving if more time is occasionally needed. Oh, and having Billy Bulger come to class was a definite bonus.

Prof. Cunningham is good professor. Class lectures are VERY interesting. His quizes can be very challenging at times and his tests are multiple choice. Cunningham is a GREAT guy who does care for his students (the ones who are serious). He is a UMASS grad and has a passion for teaching UMASS students. Don't be late, participate, and study.

Mass Politics is a great class and I would def reccomend it. There is alot of reading for this class but your grade consists of 12 content question= 40% and a final 10 pg paper = 50% and 10% for class participation. it class is not hard at all if you keep up with the reading. once you fall behind it's really very hard to get back on track.

He's a great guy...His tests are kinda hard but if you study, you should be able to get a passing grade. His quizzes are what killed me but i did great with attendance and the tests/debates and I got away with a C. He's an awesome guy to be around with for a professor. One of the best !!!!
