Professor Groves is great. You don't even have to show up because she doesn't take attendance but unless you're good at economics and can learn from just the book, I recommend going. No class on Fridays, just a short online assignment. If you want to pass the tests, don't study your notes. Take the online practice test over and over.

Professor Groves is amazing and engages students fairly well. Class attendance is not required but recommended as her lectures are clear and unique, in addition to building knowledge on the material. Online homework is helpful unlike other classes. IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TAKE PROFESSOR GROVES!!!

3 exams, weekly aplia hws, no class on fridays just discussions. Micro has so much info and she tries to make it as easy as possible. Also her A is 94%. Difficult but she is hilarious and really wants all her students to be more informed consumers.

Professor Groves is the best! She not only really knows micro, but she makes it so interesting. I always came to class, fascinated to learn more. There are 4 exams in this class and you get a ton of homework, but it prepares you well for the exams along with practice materials. Overall, she cares a lot about students so do take her!

She is the best! She makes econ interesting. I found that even when I was struggling towards the beginning of the semester, I went to her for help and ended up finishing the class with an A. She is a really cool lady and cares about what she's teaching

Professor Groves was awesome! This class is very interesting and gives you a break from all math based econ classes. 3 tests, 3 online discussions, 1 paper and 1 book. Tests are mostly essay and statistics. Attendance is not mandatory but go to class to get specific numbers that WILL be on the tests. Definitely recommend for an econ elective!

Two extra credit (course evaluation, & game in class) Homework every friday but its super easy and drops the 2 lowest will even open them up at the end of the semester if you forgot to do any. 3 exams, final isn't cumulative. I barely went & still got a B-

Can't say enough about Dr. Groves. She made an already interesting class even more enjoyable. Your grade is based on three exams, three Blackboard discussions, a short engagement paper, a relatively short term paper, and a quick presentation on that paper. Everything is straightforward, and she's always willing to help if needed. Take her class!

Amazing teacher, does a really good job in explaining the parts of Economics in easy terms. Print out powerpoint before class and take notes on that and it will be a lot easier. Go to class and pay attention and you'll have no problem passing. Practice tests are very close to actual tests to make sure you study those and your notes before the test.

This online class was the hardest class I have ever taken. Online assignments take hours to do because the questions are so difficult. DO NOT TAKE!! My 3.6 gpa will be hurting after this class I hope I can just pass it for the credits. Worst experience I've had with an online class. Be ready to not only pay tuition but another $140 for book online

Class participation isn't mandatory, but I recommend going and paying attention. There is a lot of back and forth feedback throughout the class. Prof Groves will sometimes talk on tangents though. Nevertheless, it was an engaging and enlightening class. Be prepared for online homework and a couple papers.

Make sure you keep up with the Aplia homework due every Friday night (about 25% of your grade), and do well on the tests (3 that are each worth about 25% of your grade each) and you should be fine. Great teacher.
