If you're ready to work and participate in class, great teacher. Doesn't always show up on time and expects class to lead discussions. People seem to be too sensitive, all he wants you to do is your job, study the matieral and know it. Don't try to BS the man, he'll make a fool of you. Very intelligent.

I absolutely loved him. He really knows his stufff. You can really learn a lot from him, if you don't get scared off the first day. He gets annoyed when people don't keep up with the readings, but then again he can't really teach you anything if you have no idea where he is coming from. I found that there is no reson not to do well in his class as long as you take notes on exactly what he says. If you can regurgitate exactly what he said on the tests you will do fine. Do not think for yourself and you will do ok.

Allen is a rad dude. He is a bit lazy, pompous, and intimidating. But, no question about it, he knows his****. He's a big fan of Wittgenstein, so show some Wittgenstein love. Also, he's a very easy grader--show some philosophical ability and you have an easy A or A-.

He is an ok professor. He does not really teach, but allows his students to come up w/ answers. His tests though are pretty decent. But anyone could teach his class! He just shows up, class groups meet, and present their views. He once in awhile adds his 2 cents.
