Comment:

Raymer's teaching is a triumph. Everything you need is covered brilliantly in lecture and reinforced in group exercises (which are actually fun, not annoying). Quizzes and final are easy. Includes gentle intro to C++. Don't worry about not knowing it ahead of time. Examples and online lectures if necessary. Everything you need for the 4 projects.

Comment:

Fair, easy to understand. Extremely knowledgeable. I would take him for every CS class if I could. Class Layout: 4 projects quizzes every week. I never studied for them, never got lower than a B. Final exam. Come to lectures and pay attention. Ask questions, he is very good about answering them. You will get an A.

He taught the course well and made an effort to take student feedback and change his lesson structure to teach better. He always try to make the information learned in class relevant to what you will be doing in real life on the job. He is accessible outside of class and is enthusiastic to get students involved.

Raymer is one of the best CS professors at WSU. Really great at explaining concepts. The bi-weekly quizzes are the weakest part of the course. Exam isn't too bad. Take him for Data Structures and/or Computer Org!

The best Wright State CS prof. He teaches in "scale-up" style which mean you will be working in groups to learn material and do many, many sample problems on the board. He checks on the groups frequently so even though it can be large classes, no one gets too far behind. Sit next to someone smart and you'll learn way more than in any other course.

The best computer science professor that I have had at Wright State. The man is knowledgeable, engaged, and does not want to fail you in the slightest. However, you do have to work for your grade. Do not come to class expecting it to be easy. Do come to class expecting it to be fun and rewarding.

Dr. Raymer is my favorite instructor that I've had in the CS program. He's incredibly helpful, down to earth, and genuinely cares about student success. Explains material in a way that makes it easy to understand, and checks often to make sure students are grasping the material. I'll definitely be taking another course with him.

He is fantastic. The class is hard but he is thorough and there for you whenever you need help. Responds quickly to emails. Go to his office hours if you need help because he breaks everything down perfectly for you without making you feel like an idiot.

Easily the best professor at this university, you will want to come to lectures because he makes them interesting. Most importantly he wants all of his students to ace his class and is willing to take all the time needed to make sure everyone understands the concepts taught in class. Best of all is that he lets you know why what is taught matters.

Dr. Raymer is not only the best professor I've had at Wright State so far but one of the best I've ever had in my collegiate studies. He knows the material well and explains it clearly. I may have been at an advantage in this class having taken Digital Design last semester. Anyhow, I loved this class and all the I learned taking it.

Raymer is the BEST in the CS department. I took CEG3310 with him. This class would've been hard if someone else was teaching it. He made it easier and very understandable. Comment:

Best professor I've had at WSU. Made a class that would have been somewhat dry and boring if taught by anybody else fun. Labs can take some time but are straightforward. Tests are open book and open notes. He presents the material very well and thoroughly. He's also very helpful in his office hours as well. I strongly recommend him!

I had him for CEG320, which was not an easy class. Dr. Raymer was great about adjusting the schedule to ensure that everybody understood the content of the course. His tests are fair. If you need help, be sure to show up early to his office hours; there was a line every time I went. I would have loved to take more classes with him.

took assembly language a couple of quarters ago. Dr. Raymer was very patient in explaining anything not completely understood. He adjusted class as necessary instead of just plowing through the slides just to get through. Helpful prep for exams. Would definitely take any of his classes.
