Dr. Arenson is a very nice old man and he's a good teacher. Takes a long time to go over concepts, I wish his lectures were more objective and clear and to the point. He is genuinely interested in you doing well and is willing to give extra help, that helps clarify a lot.

Dr. A is really good at music composition, so if you have any questions he can definitely help. He's a nice guy and tries to make class interesting. When he lectures, participate in order to stay awake. He doesn't actualyl collect workbook assignments. Study for the tests, it's pretty easy.

If you are not a music major, you will fail. I have a 3.7 gpa and a got a 56 on the first test. Its an outrage that they let non-majors into this class. I also got an a in musc105.

I actually had fun in a theory class... something I never thought possible. He is entertaining and does a great job of explaining things. If you are having trouble he will always go out of his way to help you, even on his own time.

Great professor. The workbook for the class explains everything you need to know on the tests. Really nice guy, jazz genius, sends an email with what will be on the tests, if you study what he asks for in the email, you can ace the tests.

Very cool guy. Your stereotypical absent-minded professor, but quite a genius. Sit in the front row, as he tends to end his sentences very quietly. Always willing to help you outside of class. He ROCKS in faculty jazz!!!
