He is hilarious, highlight of my day. He tells the funniest stories, and he cares about his students. His teaches from the text book, which is frustrating at times because he is so knowledgeable in the language.

Beykirch was not a bad person, nor is this me bashing him for my academic grade within his class. I decided to take Arabic and it was a difficult class for me, I have never been good at languages and this didn't help. The way he has you study and learn vocab was vert difficult I wish I had resources to help me so I would have done better.

Excellent professor if you're looking for learning a language as he is very knowledgeable in this field. He has a most wonderful sense of humor which made what could have been a dry class much more enjoyable. Class attendance is mandatory but absences can be "made-up". Homework is a must in order to do well.

He was a good teacher, however i had a hard time with his teaching style. you would work with a partner, but didnt know if what you were doing was correct. he only heard your speaking when answers were given in class, mayby once a day. still, he was very friendly and funny. I recommend him.

He's a really great guy! He sure knows his languages (7 or 8 I think.) He's a good teacher. Very understanding and focused on the success of his students. His class is pretty laid back and fun, especially with his dry sense of humor. This class did take a lot of work, but he's always ready to help (you'll find him in his office eating an apple.)

Excellent professor, excellent person. I took German from him and liked it very much. Very willing to help students learn. Can be hard work, espcially in upper level classes, but is so worth it. He's got a great sense of humor too, there then.

Beykirch is both funny and very accessible; he is very much in tune with how well a class is grasping the material and he responds accordingly. He brings his personality to class as well as his remarkable intellect -- he speaks six languages now and is learning three more.
