This man could stand up there and read a phonebook and I wouldn't miss a single class. So interesting, so smart, but still explains everything in simple, often funny ways.

Made me feel like I was becoming more well rounded as an intellectual. Prof. is an amazing lecturer, and presents a lot of material in an engaging and relevant way. He's a tough grader on papers, but this course has the added bonus of not having any exams to balance that out. If you want something interesting and to be pushed, take this class.

FND modernity class, great prof and really separates right from wrong. There's no fine line with him, if you say something that is simply wrong then he will put you in your place and not massage your ego. Contrary to this he is fantastic and enthusiastic and interesting. Class is great providing material is also good.. this one only in parts

He's a really funny guy and such a great lecturer-- you'll have a hard time falling asleep in his class. The Philippines is basically a collection of his stories with some factual information. It's like sitting on your grandfather's lap while he tells you his war stories. Great class!
