This is by far one of the WORST professors at the university. -disorganized -rambles off -does not consider remarking things when YOU deserve a better grade. His instructions for group notes were extremely vague; he expects us to know everything. And when you ask for marks, he will email you "sorry to disappoint" - AVOID TAKING THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!

I am in my third year of Bio and Dr. Crawford is most definitely my favourite biology prof I have had thus far. I would definitely take a class with him again. Yes all of his notes are written and you need to attend class but his exams are very fair and he really cares about his students! Record the class and you will do just fine!

I liked that all of his notes are handwritten on the board, but he sucks at writing down important key points. The majority of class is spent drawing diagrams with no explanation. He posts what to read from the textbook which is basically random pages. If you want to understand what is going on, look up topics in the text yourself and read! BEWARE!

I enjoyed Embryology as a class and found the material to be interesting. However, I don't think the class was taught well. His lectures are all hand-written so you must attend class, which is fine, but most of the material is taught too quickly to draw the diagrams and write what he says. He also jumps around too much and doesn't explain well.

His lectures were just written notes and lot of diagrams with no explanation. The textbook didn't correlate to the lectures, and with only vague notes to go off of, his exams were extremely difficult and random. Nice guy, but not a good teacher. Wouldn't suggest.

Embryology: all material is hand written on the board, no textbook, no slides so you HAVE TO ATTEND CLASS (record lectures if you can). I found his exams extremely fair. They are short answers (definitions and paragraphs). For the gene assignment ask a lot of questions of him and TA. Their tips/advice can be difference between 60 and a 90 percent.

He is the worst prof ever, I have never worked so hard for a course and didn't get 100. He makes things too complicated, and whenever he does go over a complicated topic, he breezes thru it expecting people to just understand because it is an easy to him. Also makes very weird and personal comments during office hours

One of my favourite profs for sure. He is probably the most intelligent person I have ever met, not to mention funny and approachable. I loved his drawings on the board, although that combined with a lot of talking was sometimes hard to keep up with. Keeps lecture interesting with funny comments and stories. Highly recommend taking this course.

Excellent professor. He's a clear speaker and uses lots of adjectives. If you show up to lectures you will know what types of questions are on the tests. He's very helpful and will go out of his way to help you find information or career paths even if they are not in the parameters of his course. Loved the class, but you do have to study!

Where do I begin... I have been in university for four years,and this course has turned out to be one of the worst experiences of my University life. Dr. Crawford is an extremely intelligent man, don't get me wrong but he showed no compassion to students difficulties His tests where brutal. Were 1st year students, we don't have PHDs like you!!!

i did not like his teaching style, he would go off on tangents and it wouldnt relate to the material being taught. Took away from what was important Was not helpful when came to quest. I was really looking forward to this genetics class but he preety much ruined the whole subject for me. Tests were a hard only because nothing to go off of
