Lectures extremely boring, some of the readings interesting - I actually learned a lot overall. Easy and fair marker - told me what was good in my essay and what I should have included in my essay in an affirming way. Take the time to talk to him, and say a few things in class, he will like you and likely give you a better mark.

Neg: Cured insomnia. Difficult class. Very hard marker. Points off for inputting common elements of a term paper like a table of contents, or citations are wrong even though the guide was followed to the letter as displayed in course outline. No use Moodle at all. Overexcessive amt of "uhs" and "ah's". Pos: Seems interested in topics.

Dr. Earle knows his stuff. Even though some people find him dry, it's probably because they weren't interested in the subject. He's a very fair marker, and if you take one of his classes and can grasp some things, then you'll get a good grade.

Ugggghhhh ....very boring. He loves laughing at his stupid jokes hah. Not very helpful, and kind of lazy toward marking papers. not very good feed back, when reading his feed back he writes, well written, fairly well written, and poorly writen. He's to repetative.

I'm not sure why Dr Earle is still teaching. I agree,he is a nice guy, but he can't communicate with the class and his lectures are so boring and repetitive. It's an easy mark, but the realy work is in forcing yourself to sit through his unbeveliable boring lectures

Yes, his lectures are very boring...but hey, it's Canadian history, what do you expect? He's not a bad prof at all... This has nothing to do with his teaching but when you get your papers back they always smell like tobacco smoke.
