McAllister quickly became my greatest enemy and my hero. His class caused me so much stress and I had to essentially ignore the assignments because they were so heavy and focusing on them was causing all my other grades to suffer. His door is always open and he will be happy to help you no matter how long it takes. He is one of the best profs in CS

He's the absolute worst. As a professor he thinks he's brilliant but really wastes all of our time with nonsense. As an academic advisor he's even worse. I've been warned in first year by other students to never approach him. He's not compassionate, he's not empathetic, and he's not a good listener. I don't know why he has that position.

Nice guy, pretty good prof, rather approachable, but WAY too long assignments. His other classes don't seem to have this problem, but OS Assignments are EXTREMELY long and complex. Easily passed the exam and midterm but the assignment marks killed me. Avoid for this class if you can - McAllister makes this a full course load by itself.

Don't EVER take a course from him. He WILL make you do a ridiculous amount of "busy work". His teaching is great but his assignments are FOOLISHLY long. (I was getting 80%+ in his course but quit because of time requirements.)
