If you are taking Calc 1 or Calc 2, then you must take it with Miller. The other option, Choi, will be your worst nightmare. Miller assigns homework through an online website called webwork where it is usually due within a week from being assigned. For the exams, if you study the webwork problems, then you are guaranteed to walk away with an A.

Calc is a difficult subject but he makes it easy to understand. He explains things very well and doesn't overcomplicate the material. He's also easily approachable and genuinely wants to help you do well. You still need to put in the effort but if you pay attention and ask for help when you need it then you will do really well with him.

Gave grade based on how well he thought I understood the material not on the actual grades I received. Made the lessons confusing and I feel like he didn't teach much he just told us to work in pairs.I made an appointment to make up a lab and he never showed up.

You're probably frantically reading through this site to find the best professor for your Calculus class. All you need to do is read this review. If you're just coming from high school, this class could not be more seamless of a transition, and it's probably a lot easier than what you faced in high school. Miller will literally guide you to an A.

If u love math, this class is easy. Exams are made up from homework questions. But, the professor does not clearly present the material. If u like specific-as in what u call 'that', pick someone else. ex: the second derivatives give you the point of inflection. He doesn't make you simplify answers. U don't learn as much as u should.

This professor is awesome! Hes a really nice guy and very helpful. The only reason why people dont do well in his class is if they dont even try. If you at least show some effort, he'll help you. Plus, hw is optional!

If you are good at math and don't mind working with others this is a good class. Miller is a cool guy and always willing to try and help you figure stuff out. He does ask that you make an effort to figure stuff out on your own first, but if you put any effort into the class you will do well.

WOW, i think that he is the nicest guy in the world!! But sometimes he doesn't explain things so that you understand them. He is really good at going step-by-step with you so that you can try to grasp what he is saying. He is really understanding too. I would recommend him, but never for tues/thurs classes- its just too long to listen to him!!

Awful class. I'm still not sure if he was a bad professor or it was just horrible curriculum. Math for Business Majors was extremely difficult and as I found it, completely unnecessary. I never understood what all the graphs were for. The Matlab exercises were horribly difficult. None of the class was useful. I don't know how I managed to get a C, but I did. I graduated 6 years ago. Yes, I only spent 4 years at Le Moyne-never flunked a class. I work in IT and I've never used this crap.
