He is so straightforward. "Pop" quizzes become expected-so really no surprise. Plus, all open note, even open internet. He keeps highest 8 quiz grades, so I suggest getting high grades at the beginning, before the probability unit. People who complain of his pickiness are just lazy because he clearly tells you EXACTLY what he wants. Just do it.

This man provided a wealth of knowledge at the expense of my mental health. Tests were extremely stressful, but proved to be rather easy (when you studied 10+ hours) and quizzes were harder than the tests. Get ready for some 0s on quizzes if you do not go to lecture. He also believes he is amazing, and he is far from it.

This was my first ever calc class. There are pop quizzes once a week. If you do not do well on the quizzes go visit him during office hours- it makes the class a lot more manageable. Moses will not give help with homework assignments but will help you with practice problems very similar to the homework questions during office hours.

Moses is a very formulaic teacher and will tell you exactly what he wants your answers to look like which is nice. He will take off stupid points but his problems aren't hard if you're decent at math. Many "pop"short quizzes (all open notes) but he drops a lot of them so they're nice grade boosters. Homework due every 2 weeks (usually easy).

Moses isn't that bad, he's just very good at mental math so when he presents the problems, he's able to solve them really quick which throws you off since you're still trying to understand the problem, he already has an answer presented. There's a lot of quizzes but he drops them and he is very anal about the way he wants homework done.

Moses' class isn't of hard material but gives a lot of trouble to students. Moses isn't a nice teacher, if you go to his office hours he might call you stupid. BUT it's not a hard class. He posts all material online. He's also super responsive, before submitting homework you can email it to him and he will send you back feedback. Super helpful

The worst professor ever at GW. He makes things complicated and expects you to write the problems the way he writes. Takes many points off unnecessarily. His teaching style is not clear. Do not take his class, if you want to get a good grade. Avoid him at all cost. I would not recommend him.

Does a lot of work in his head. Skips from steps to steps. Easy grading scale. Very anal on how you present your answers. Gives notes on his lectures and puts them online, but it is still a good idea to attend class.

don't skip class, you could miss a pop quiz and get a zero. he has very specific expectations for every problem, which can get very confusing. If you have to take the class, do the homework, do a practice problem or two every night, and study for the tests and you will be fine. just make sure you do exactly what he tells you to! and TAKE NOTES!!

HE IS NOT THAT BAD. Sure, he's a bit pedantic and you'll have to listen to him groan about how to properly write fractions and that you've got to "get this stuff." But the course material is easy. PS News Flash: you want lots of quizzes--he only counts the top few so more quizzes better your grade.

He's awful. Don't take finite math with him, quizzes are really difficult and he just overcomplicates the entire class. He's so picky about everything and will take off many points for even the slightest errors. Least favorite professor at GW. GPA killer

Worst professor I've ever had. Disorganized lectures, no explanation of the arithmetic he is teaching, not receptive to questions. He becomes frustrated when students do not do well in his class or ask questions he deems "elementary". Two quizzes a week with not enough time to complete them. Don't make the mistake I did and take this class. Awful

One of the worst professors! His quizzes are extremely difficult and he is so annoying when it comes to grading. If things aren't exactly the way he wants he will take off many points! Not very approachable either, he makes the class confusing and just over complicates the concepts. You will struggle if you aren't good at math. Don't take Moses!

I went into this class having already taken calculus in high school and the professor over complicated everything to such an extent that I greatly struggled. He attempts to simply things by using "blobs" and "squares" but it only confuses you more. He is an unfair grader on homeworks and quizzes, and often got very angry and screamed at the class.

Moses' class is really not that bad. You just have to take the time to do the problems that he posts on blackboard and pay attention as he does the problems. Next, you HAVE to go to class and you HAVE to look like you're paying attention. He has a pop quiz handy EVERY class (he told us). Be on top of studying for his class and you'll get an A.

It's possible to get an A with Moses, but you'll definitely have to work for it. He's specific in how things need to be written and will take points away if they're not perfect. Lots of pop quizzes, but those aren't too bad. Workload seems manageable but his condescending demeanor and constant negativity make it hard to enjoy this class.

Moses is honestly the worst! I'm not a big math person, which is why I took his class, and it was ridiculously annoying for no reason. If you don't do a problem EXACTLY how he does it the entire thing is wrong. If you can't get the other teacher then I would honestly take calc instead.

He gives pop quizzes almost every class, so if you skip you will fail. He also has an unclear way of teaching by not working each problem step by step but skipping steps, making it extremely hard to follow and understand what he tries to teach. Overall, not a great professor and avoid at all costs.
