Comment:

This guy is tough and he'll push you to your limit. But if you come to class, participate, do the assignments, and try your best, it'll pay off. You'll find yourself learning a ton, not only about art, but about work ethic and life skills. He grades really tough and assigns a ton. But if you're willing to work hard I would highly recommend him.

This guy is absolutely crazy. He may come off as mean but he is one of the best teachers ever. If you're questioning whether art is where you are supposed to be, take his class. He'll definitely show you if you can do it.

He will put as much effort as you do in your classes with him. If you come to class trying to get feedback and you do the assignments and ask for help when you need it and genuinely look like you are working hard, you will be rewarded and he will help you succeed. He wants to help his students be the best they can be!

When I first came into the department I was terrified of him. But over the years he has pushed me and challenged me to do more than what I thought I could do. He doesn't sugarcoat things but he genuinely wants you to succeed. Don't be lazy and you will do fine. He is crackerjack.

A teacher that has the skill to teach each individual person based on their own needs. Not a teacher for students who want to skim by and do the bare minimum, he forces students to excel, or perish. He can be a little harsh at times, but he does it to test boundaries, morals, and help students learn who they are. He's actually pretty funny too.

He has some valuable insight into the advertising world and could be a really good teacher if he weren't such a creep. He made me very uncomfortable and frequently make comments on appearance. Made you choose art over chapel attendance.

I loved O'keefe's 2-D class and am really glad I had him for a teacher. I learned so much and my class learned more than the other 2 groups. If you want to learn take O'keefe. The critiques are harsh but I loved hearing what he and my group had to say! Definitely made me realize a lot about art!

i would not be here if it were not for O'Keefe and the outstanding collection of professors he has assembled to help us neophyte designers and artists survive in the real world. Yeah, he IS tough but since when has anyone of worth been a pushover? He requires hard work and effort. This isn't high school. Stick him out or leave. It's your choice.

O'Keefe is a tough teacher. He makes you push yourself as well as thoughs around you. He taught me that refusing to experience something new is depriving your mind of what it takes to be a better person, not just a better designer...take everything in. Yeah hes hard...so is life.

Very excellent teacher. Goes out of his way to ensure that his students receive the best art education possible by going to other schools and looking at what they do and by letting us talk to people in the Graphic Design field. Would definitely recommend him to other students.

Michael O'Keefe is one of the smartest and most genuine professors are Oklahoma Christian University. He is the reason that I am attending OC and he is the reason I have been successful at design and photography. If there is one professor that you need to be in contact with if you plan on pursuing the graphic arts it is Michael O'Keefe.

This guy is one of the main reasons I changed majors. I used to be a graphic design major, until I had him for a teacher. He's so rude sometimes, I'm not sure he knows how he comes across. When I changed majors, he didn't say a word when he signed my form, he just glared at me.

Having him for 2D changes my perspective on his teaching style, because its a tough one. He's harsh in critiques, but doesn't leave you hating yourself and your work. He makes you do things you wouldn't think of doing with Art. He's a great teacher. Even though many people don't like him.

He's a goofball. If you watch close enough, he will try to change how you vote and what your other priorities are beyond art (like being in class over being in chapel). He's hard, but it will train you. Sometimes kids get un-necessary ego boosts too early on, though. That'll kill ya. Be humble.
