I had Dr. Parker for many courses, and the ones I did poorly in were completely my fault. He is a very gifted instructor, meaning you have to want to learn, and do your part in the process. His own travels and interests made the courses much more interesting.

After I took these courses, i COMPLETELY regretted ever minoring in anything but classics. I absolutely loved every second of the classes, in class and also while doing essay research. If I had my time back, I would minor in it, just because its so all around great. He expects you to put just as much into it as he does, which is great. THANKS!!

Parker is what I like to think of as a well-balanced prof. His lectures are very well organized, he isn't lacking a sense of humor, and his course requirements are clear. He is also great to speak to out of class for clearing up any questions. He also provides a wealth of feedback on written assignments, which is highly appreciated.

He was a great prof, and he made it very exciting! the only problem was his marking. He was a really ahrd marker, grades everyone at a 4th year level. But he was wonderful!

I was a Science major needing an Arts credit but Roman Civilisation turned out to be the best mark I got in university - just because Dr. Parker made me so interested in it. I have never been more enthralled in any course I have taken in university.

Dr. Parker is an excellent professor. He is super organized. He keeps his students on tract, and this keeps him on tract. He is a grammar/punctuation stickler, but if you watch your gramar then you won't have a problem. I recommed his classes.

I have had him for 3 courses now and I found him excellent in each. I absolutely enjoy every lecture and am amazed by the fact that I take about 3 pages of notes EVERY class. :) I reccommend his classes to everyone, and while his marking is a little strict, it is absolutely worth while!
