Comment:

This class isn't overly hard but can cause problems if not taken seriously. The stock project is long and tiresome but isn't hard if you keep up with it from week to week. Quinn isn't the most personable person but he's pretty fair when dealing with students. If you stay on top of assignments you should be fine. Also, he does curve tests.

Comment:

This class was more annoying than it was hard. The stock project made it almost not worth it because it took up so much time. Tests are open book but pretty hard. The material taught is very useful though! However, while the content was valid, this professor was just not very nice. Easily irritated, not very helpful. I'd try and take someone else

Comment:

A lot of memorization of arbitrary material and the stock project is very time consuming. If you put in the work, you can get a good grade, but I found it not to be worth my time and my grade suffered as a result. This was my least favorite class of the year. Quinn is also not very approachable. He does offer some extra credit.

This class is not as bad as everyone thinks. It takes just a little bit of effort. People complain like its hard but they dont even do the work. Give yourself time to do the work and don't procrastinate or it'll sneak up on you. Also, he gives lots of extra credit so don't miss those opportunities! If you have him, just try hard and you'll do fine!

This class is not hard if you put work into it. Although the tests are all open note, you still need to study, because of the crazy amount of material you have. Quinn's lectures were interesting, and you're definitely going to use the stuff you learn in this class later in life. I recommend taking the class if you aren't afraid of a little work!

I really enjoyed Professor Quinn's class, it was very interesting and you definitely learn stuff you will learn later on in life. His tests may be hard but if you take notes and do the reading you will do well. He also gives tons of extra credit and curves tests like crazy(14 points sometimes). It's not a hard class if you do your work.

He is super personable and helpful. He is level with you; brutally honest. There is a lot of uncertainty as to what will be on tests. You gather your own information for them, and if you get them from different news sources than him, you won't do very well. This is frustrating. Overall though, he explains things well and the course isn't difficult.

First seemed fair and helpful, however he is very unclear on what he is going to put on the stock market or company profile test. He does his best to answer questions in class but if you go down to ask questions after class he is rude and unwilling to listen if you have questions about your grade. Dont take unless you are seriously into business.

Don't take take this class if your feelings get hurt easily. I was an A student in HS, studied really hard for the first test and got a C. Luckily we dropped 1 test and I did a lot better once I went to see him for help. I ended up loving the class and changed my major to business. He likes the Ravens so tell him you're fan even if you're not.

seriously, he is a nice guy and has a really nice energy to his teaching. i just thought it was way too difficult for a gened. there was a lot of work that i had to put into it, especially since i am not a business major. if i took this class again, i would not take him.

People go way too hard on him, he's really a nice guy. If you're organized you'll do well - simple as that. You have to keep up with blackboard to stay on top of things, not too hard. I learned A TON of valuable information. If you get atleast an A- you're exempt from the final.

He definitely means well and tries to help his students. But the class in general is really hard. I had this class once a week and always dreaded going to it but I definitely learned a lot that I'm actually going to use in life. Work your butt off to get an A to get exempt from the final, you DO NOT want to take his cumulative final.

He's not as bad as everyone says. His class challenging but he drops your lowest test and a few quizzes. Clicker quiz every class so you have to show up. gives some extra credit. funny guy but doesn't deal with any crap. You learn alot. i'd take him again.

really, don't take. so many way easier GBUS 160 options. if not a business major and don't have to, then DO NOT take, others in the cluster will be way easier and interesting. a good grade is possible, but not worth the stress and time.

Pretty rough teacher. So unhelpful, and feels little to no sympathy for students. Occasionally threw out unfair quiz questions but for the most part was unclear in expectations for basically everything...two major projects were slightly ridiculous

HORRIBLE teacher. Very unhelpful, test questions are random and not always on the reading. Felt like I as guessing what he wanted us to learn the whole time. He has no sympathy for students not understanding what he wants although it is extremely unclear. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS.
