Comment:
The class is not taught as a non-majors course. Lots of reading each day which is very impractical when students take 4 or more other courses. A lot of information in lecture where it is hard to retain it. Slides are bare minimum and do not help, and it is expected to know over a hundred vocab terms along with several stories for a 10 minute quiz.

Dr. Sham makes the material easy to grasp while keeping class fun. He sets a good pace for the material and figures out who is struggling with what quickly.

Professor Sham is a great professor. I hated mythology before taking this course and now I love it. His lectures are really interesting and it's obvious he loves what he teaches. Definitely have to study for the test because they're mostly memorization. He is a very fair grader. One paper that isn't bad either. I definitely recommend him!

Dr. Sham is very enthusiastic about the topic and he clearly is very knowledgeable. Only 4 quizzes total and pretty simple as long as you study. 4 essays and if you ask for help he will lead you in the right direction which is helpful. He tends to lecture even though he says it's a discussion based class but not too bad.

This class was awesome. Easy tests and the paper isn't too bad. If you do the work he will reward with a good grade. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and it is fascinating to listen. He is also one of the easier professors to speak with outside of class.

This class was awesome, don't get me wrong, but the tests are very hard. If you're genuinely interested in mythology then this will be the class of your dreams. Don't take this if you're looking for an easy grade, but I'd definitely recommend him.

Dr. Sham is the greatest teacher at Siena. I could listen to him talk for days. He'll meet with you outside of class and he'll always let you make up tests if you miss them. The actual reading and papers are hard but his lecture clarify it. He's not an easy grader, but you'll do well as long as he can see that you're trying.

Awesome teacher. Makes the material very interesting. Can be boring at sometimes. Tests have lots of choices and are based directly on material. He doesn't try to trick you in anyway.
