Fantastic prof. Very tough, but incredibly knowledgeable. Always prepared for class, sends notes via email. Lecture heavy, but exam questions are right from lectures. Seriously one of the best professors in bloom.

Comment:

I learned so much from his fraud classes that I probably wouldn't have learned if someone else taught it (he's the only one for three of them). Lots of real world examples and will help you if you need help. His exams are right from his notes so make sure you know them inside out.

Auditing is hard as they say. Be prepared for assignments every day. The tests are RIDICULOUS. Don't bother reading the book, just MEMORIZE his notes word for word. The multiple choice is the worst I've ever seen, so know the material WELL. I can't stress enough how important it is to find a good group for the practice set, so choose CAREFULLY.

I have had Dr. Shapeero for 4 classes now, and he is definitely the hardest professor in the department. He is also the one that you will learn the most from. Be prepared to work your butt off for a good grade. Know his notes inside and out. Also read the textbook to gain a better understanding as he does put random questions on exams from it.

Homework is assigned every night, but it is to help prepare for his tests which are straight forward essays if you pay attention in class, do the assignments, and read the handouts and notes THOROUGHLY. For the tests and homework be detailed in your answers or he will dock points, just know the material and you'll be fine.

Hardest acctg. professor at Bloom & makes you feel like you're stupid & know nothing. Tests require pure memorization from all of his notes. HW due every class & attendance is mandatory. For the practice set, you're pretty much on your own (he's not much help). Unfortunately, he's the only one teaching this class but avoid taking him at ALL COST.

Intro Fraud Exam. Homework almost every single class. That's the hard part. Tests come from notes he emails you. Book only used for homework. Attendance mandatory. I thought the tests were easy, 20 multiple and 10+ essays. Most essays are listing & defining.

Probably the best prof I've ever had. But, he's tough. You have to do all your homework and memorize/actually learn stuff for the exams. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he gives points at the end if you haven't missed more than 2 or 3.

He is the HARDEST professor at bloom! Work Load is pretty intense. He loves to embarrass you and make students look like idiots. He makes you feel bad, not good at creating a learning enviornment. his arrogant harsh teaching style can be crippling. BEWARE. if u can memroize word for word his notes you'll pass for sure. just dont expect an A.

Shapeero is a great guy to talk to when you go to his office hours, or if you're on his good side. he liked me because i came to class and always smiled and acted happy. Insane amount of work, lots of reading and homework but if you stay on top of it you will be fine. Hard strict teacher in the classroom, but you will definitely learn a lot!

He is extremely hard that expects alot out of every student. Will push you and make you think hard. He will never curve, but he is the best prof in the dept. He 100% prepares you for your job and you need that. He is the best choice to start your accounting education here. Great man that is always extremely nice in his office hrs.

Likes to be a jerk and gives lots of busy work. He does not have much of a life and feels like no one else should have one either.GET ON HIS GOOD SIDE RIGHT OFF THE BAT. The practice set is long and crazy and he hands it back at least once to every group to re-do. Take him in the fall because he uses a shorter practice set for some reason.

Very good class for accounting majors. you will learn alot and find it relativly easy to learn. if this isnt your major dont take shapeero, he will rip you apart. if you dont want to work, dont take this.
