Michael is truly a wonderful professor, infusing his teachings with a benevolence and compassion for all his students. He would seriously do anything to help you out, even putting himself at a disadvantage. Both he and his wife epitomize the nature of a teacher, and for their sheer devotion, I am forever grateful!

Most amazing man and proffessor. He's genuinely intrested, learned, and sweet. He's a true gentleman in the oldest sense of the word and cannot help enough...not that you'd need it as the classes are idiot proof.

Nicest professor you'll ever meet-- interesting material and low workload. He likes a narrow mark distribution, so you can excel your ass and only get a low 80, or do next to nothing and get 70. Coffee required-- he can slow time.

Fun prof, but tends to put students to sleep. Never seems to be on topic, but somehow everything he says is really relevant to the subject. I recommend him (for any going to Harlow, he has otherwise retired). Huge amount of reserve reading, largely out-dated, but interesting.

If you like studying Newfoundland in the 1960's take his courses, but he's extremely out of date and his classes are very very boring and pointless, he rambles on completely off topic, which make his lectures pointless.

Also did Geog 3800 & 4640...He is a very interesting man and very helpful..I love this guy. Although he has a lot of reserves, he is a excellent prof and I would recomend him to anyone!!
