Comment:

Great prof! He was very straight forward with what was in the midterm, quizzes and final. He was able to make a very difficult course into an easy one. However, keep in mind, he taught this course over the summer and so he had to skip a couple of things (like Gauss' law, thank god).

Comment:

He says that memorizing is pointless, but you have to memorize stuff (eg. the flags a machine instruction modifies) to pass his exams. He gives closed-book exams that should be open-book. When he retires, I hope he has to work in a gas station counting the number of steps from the door to the toilet! (People in his class know what I mean.)

By far the worst prof I've had in my university career. His marking is inconsistant, he ridicules students for asking questions, and his tests are quite difficult and marked hard. He literally told us in class "I'm purposely doing a bad job teaching this class so that they won't make me teach it next year." Terrible, avoid this prof.

This idiot made ~50% of the final on subject matter he overtly stated would NOT be on the final. 5 or 6 people asked him during the class if it would be on the final and he said no. So he lies, and is impossible to understand. A winning combination.

He cares more about the knowledge than the marks which is the way it should be. He is easily the best prof I ever had. He won't let you leave his office until he is sure you understand. He tells the best jokes too! :-)
