She uses a variety of different exercises in class and assigns a lot of homework, but all of it is very helpful! She speaks completely in French, but repeats herself to make sure you know what shes saying. I cant say enough good things about her! You can tell she truly cares about her students succeeding!

Professor Bissiere was a really great professor. She talks the entire class in French but she makes sure that you can understand it. As long as you keep up with studying and talk a few times during class you should be fine.

One of the best professors I've had at UNCC. She's a great teacher, there to help you, and is more than fair. Always pushes her students to do the best that they can. Also just a really cool lady! Highly recommend taking any of her classes.

Great professor! I had her for Elem. French II in summer. She loves using films for her classes, so be prepared to watch a few and either write summaries (with the vocabulary you know!) or answer questions. Yes, she does demand a bit of homework, but you will learn a lot by doing it! I would take her for all French courses if I could.

super nice lady, but the class is super hard. interaction and conversation help, but tests are hard and she moves really fast...if you don't get it during the first 5 minutes, you won't get it at all

Congrats if you made it past conversation unscathed...now prepare to die a slow and painful death. Take this abroad if you can because otherwise you are going to put yourself through essay tests, 10 minute long presentations in French which must be followed up with an essay on the same topic, and word for word chapter memorization. BORING & AWFUL!

If you take this class, be prepared to watch a lot of movies, which suck, outside of class. This class is too hard for the little bit you learn, and it is no fun at all. Also, the attendance policy is strict. You might learn something but be prepared to waste a lot of time.

Makes you work hard and think hard, but her methods are good and you will learn a lot. I find her somewhat frusterated and the class is uncomfortable, but I have learned and my french has improved! So I can't complain, she's a good prof!
