This was by far one of the hardest courses I have ever taken. Both the class expectations and class workload was unrealistic and close to impossible. This class is utterly RIDIC and I would not advise anyone with a job, life or family to take this course. I literally missed my 21st birthday studying for this stupid class and exams. DO NOT TAKE!

I liked the professor. Her class is difficult but if you attend lecture and do the study guide you should be fine. I never used my book but I know it's helpful if you are stuggleing or you miss a class. Iclicker is extra credit and every exam has an extra credit opportunity. The final was very easy if you studied.

By far the worst class I have ever taken. Completely ruined my GPA and I did not learn a single thing. Teacher is boring, unhelpful and I think she likes that 40% of her class fails every single exam. The study guide is completely pointless to complete because half of it is not even covered on the exam. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

Teacher is not approachable and does not like answering questions. The class is very difficult and her style of teaching doe not lend support. I would highly recommend that students avoid taking this class with her.

terrible teacher...I was so excited for this class and it was an extreme let down. She expect way to much out of a Gen Ed class of people who are not science majors!! She was literally happy when a huge majority of the class did extremely poor on the exams...DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!!!!!!

This teacher is a pretty cool dude according to herself. She talks way to fast to take notes and the material is not even interesting. I did not learn anything about the ocean until about 3/4 of the way through. Extremely dry sense of humor and kind of creepy. She should go back to her boat and stop teaching. I deeply regret taking this class.

She is honest from the get-go about the difficulty of the class. You have to pay attention in class and take notes from her slides. If you do those things, you'll be fine. She's a wacky lady, though. Some like her, others don't. She was a little too out there for me.

Great professor, basicly mandatory to be in class because of clickers... but they give you extra credit by being there to use them and doing well which can really boost exam grades. Knows her stuff && keeps it interesting never dry. Holds extremly helpful pre-exam sessions that almost gaurantee a good grade.

She is a great person and is passionate about the topic, class is really easy if you can memorize a lot of material at once and dedicate a lot of time to this class. Tons of extra credit and final can be waived if you have a good test avg. I had over 100%. Go to study sessions the night before tests-extremely helpful and gives answers to the test!

This class is not that hard. She gives you all the information you need for the tests. If you do the study questions, you will get an A. I dont read the book at all. It helps if you have a little geology backround before this class.Over I like her alot, shes very helpful. Be prepared for busy work though.

I dont know what all these people are talking about. It's not THAT difficult. If you dont do well, it's your own fault and you didnt use all the pages of study material on her website...went to office hours and she spent over an hour helping me (not during reg. hours). Read the chapter before class and you'll get every e.c. question right in class.

If you go to class and study hard youll do great...i ended up with a 117% in the class as my overall grade she offers a lot of extra credit for people who cant dedicate there life to this class. It is a 3000 level class so it isnt cake but definately doable...i would take another class with her!

hands down, the best science teacher i've ever had. she responds quickly to my emailed questions, great one-on-one student help, tho she's got 150+ in my class alone, her lectures are thorough and easy to understand, she is extremely organized and fun to listen to, the clicker quiz questions help me score extra cred points- a fantastic teacher!!!!

The class was presented very unclearly. She used every possible moment to preach from her soap box about global warming and evolutionism. Many od the concept that are merely scientific theories, far from being proven, were presented as the only truth. I managed an A+ in the class. It wasn't too difficult but completely worthless!!!

This class was extremely hard to keep up with, her lectures are all over the place. I suggest going to the study sessions before the exams, she will answer all your questions. The problem with this class it that not everyone is going into Geology, and she made it really hard for those of us that aren't. She is a very nice lady though!
