A practical man for the practical world, you will be so much better at college writing at the end of the semester, he is passionate and won't put you to sleep even if it's 7pm after a long day. tons of energy. reasonable reading assignments and homework. do things HIS way. this is NOT creative writing. do whats expected and you'll get an A.

I took an online course with him. He's not very clear on blackboard and few times he deviated from the posted syllabus. However he is helpful and constructive if you email him. I did a handful of discussion posts (about 40 or 50% of what I should have done), did all the essays and got an A. He seemed to be a very lenient grader.

We split into groups to go over a story and I was the only one who read it lol. READ THE STORIES PEOPLE!! They're very short and actually enjoyable. He may come off a little tough and maybe mean, but he's a really good guy and his grading is pretty easy/straightforward. Very available and helpful to his students.

I thought he was a great professor. He was always quick to respond to my questions within 24 hours and gave plenty of feedback so you never felt clueless. There were only three papers throughout the semester on reading assignments he provides and then a final paper. For the final I had to buy a book for less than $10 and he grades fairly.

Anzelone is a really nice guy and a great professor. His lectures really help you understand the significant aspects of the stories. I thought he was a fair grader, though he's a stickler when it comes to grammar. I had to hand a paper in a few days late due to a technological error. I told him about the error and he didn't take any points off.

I would def. recommend Professor Anzelone, he is a great professor and gives great feedback. I took his course online, no textbook needed, all the reading materials we needed was on Blackboard. Our final we had to buy the book which was only 5$. He gives a syllabus at the beginning of the course listing all due dates which was great.

Took him for Honors English 109!!! Gives fantastic lectures and makes it really fun to come to his classes. Always gave out really good short stories and a awesome play "The Piano Lesson". My favorite quote by him "We love our words and we have to learn new words to make us a better writer". Take him he has so much knowledge to share

If you are taking this class to improve your writing skills or get a class credit run don't walk away!! This professor is not a fair grader, he is not consistent and clearly grades each student differently. There are weekly assignments which are not graded and even if you do them which I did, he only grades 3 essays.

I took Modern American Short Story class online. We we were assigned weekly readings, but they weren't graded so your overall grade comes from your essays. I felt that he was passive aggressive when I asked him a question about an assignment so I got to a point where I had to choose my battles. He also gives you less than a week notice for essays.

Professor Anzelone is the best. He provides a lot of feedback making it very easy to get a good grade. Show up to class, listen to the lecture, write the occasional in-class essay, have fun with this easy going guy, get an A. Easy as that.

This class involved a decent amount of reading, as it's an english class and should be expected. He was very helpful when you have a question, and gives good feedback about your grades, I liked him as a professor I however did not like how the grade was only based on three essays. I actually am taking him again for another english class in spring.

Easiest class I have ever taken. If you love to watch movies this is the class for you. Only three essays the entire semester (one was at home). He's a pretty easier grader and easy to impress. As long as you skim the short stories you will do well. I barely showed up to his class and I was a star. Don't get the writer's reference book didn't use

Really tough grader. I always came to class on time, was one of the few that always did the reading, didn't have more than 3 absences, and always participated in the discussions. All essays are hand written in class (an hour and 15 min to write ) and yet he markes you off for minor errors. B+ on all essays and B+ for class. Destroyed my 4.0!

Went into course with no interest in reading (needed to fulfill LIT credit). HOWEVER, Professor Anzelone kept the material interesting. This is coming from someone who does not like to read! Do the discussion posts for the short stories, and one novel. He gives you ample time. Follow the directions for the three essays carefully. Very nice man.

Dr. Anzelone is the best professor I have had at NCC. He is clear, concise and understanding. He wants his students to learn, but they have to show up and pay attention. He does make you earn the grade as he is tough on the essay grading. But he is not out to get his students. He believes an A grade has to be earned! Hot teacher!
