Dr. Deal is one of my favourite profs. I graduated years ago but I still remember him fondly. He was, and I'm sure is, sweet and knowledgable, and very active in his field. He does a lot of field work and research, so you know you will be learning from a man who knows his stuff. Adorable.

Nice man! Dont know why people are calling him "old". Hes not that old!Anyway, very sweet and knowledgeable about what he teaches. Ive done his paleo, theories and methods, maritime prehistory and mesoamerica courses..love his courses, but exams are terrible, hard and unfair. He puts things on there that you will never hear of until the exam.Unfair

Mike is the sweetest old man you'll ever meet! His lectures are extremely boring, but he means well. You can tell he is interested in what he does. He uses slides and shows a lot of videos to help with the students' understanding of the material. Consists of multiple choice tests only, and the course is quite simple if you study the book. Recommend
