I love Mike Dore! I had virtually no interest in marketing until I took his class. He's very precise and funny. I expected to do better on the exams given that I did read the chapters, but the course itself was so fascinating I didn't really care. But the course might become a headache if you get stuck with bad teammates for your group project.

If you can, TAKE THIS PROFESSOR for MKTG 311!! He makes marketing so interesting! He shows little video clips every class, and tries to involve the class in creative ways. He can be funny at times and you can tell he really enjoys teaching. So far, the coursework load is light/moderate, and he is just an AWESOME prof. Take him! =)

Professor Dore knows his stuff and what he is talking about. His approach is to actually teach what he knows and has learned in the real world. His lectures will almost never go over too much of the required reading, but his exams are entirely textbook based with a few extras. All in all, is the grade more important, or the knowledge you learned?

Great Taacher, highly recommended!! His lectures are not relevant to the exams, but helpful to understand maketing concepts. Exams are not too difficult since it's all base on the textbook, if you go to class and read before exams, you will do well.

This was easily one of the best classes I've ever taken. His lectures are really interesting, he doesn't waste time with charts and definitions. He uses videos and great stories to get his point across. Lectures are fun and interesting and you learn a lot. He is a great teacher and also really nice. Tests are easy if you attend class.

Great teacher--decades of experience in real marketing, funny stories, easy to listen to and stay awake in class, engaging videos and discussions, information you may actually use someday. Tests are ridiculously easy if you come to class and you read the textbook the night before. This is the teacher you want for marketing classes!

Too be short. This class was unique. I have never learned so much in a class that was so academically forgiving. Professor Dore's extroverted style coupled with straightfoward testing made this class extremely enjoyable. Highly recommended

Michael Dore is the best professor I have ever had. He is hillarious and makes learning about some lame areas of marketing really interesting. If you speak up he will pick on you but it helps you understand better. Exams read the book and go to class!!

Dore cracks me up because according to him every company is terrible and he would never work for them. All in all though, the class isn't too bad at all, definitely one of the easier business cores. The group projects are graded pretty leniently, almost everyone gets a B. Read the book and you should have no problem getting a B in the class.

Definitely one of my best professors this term. Made lectures VERY easy to get through, good humor, and stories. Insisted on seeing students outside of class. Very interactive. Tests, and grading on papers were a bit hard but as long as you study, and actually work, you'll be fine. I swear all bad reviewers must be cranky about their grade.
