Basically he talks about his "adventures" that has taken on in life during class, and it ends up just being him lecturing you to boredom. He assigns readings that you have to do every day and write about, you will write at least 3-4 pages a week easily, and if you ask him any questions after class he doesn't seem to care, and email is a nightmare.

Lots of papers, about 15-20 papers that have to be at least 2-3 pages in length minimum. He lectures the whole time, and most of the stuff he talks about in the lectures don't even end on exam. He decides to send out material the day before it is due and expects it to be ready at the start of class the next day. About 4-5 pages a week minimum.

One word AWESOME! I took his 3 hour class 1 night a week & he made it interesting. You write some long papers but taking the class is worth it. Hes a great teacher. He is very helpful & is willing to help you understand the material. Take notes, he uses some book and lecture material on the exams. Just pay attention and you'll do fine. Hes cool.

Kinda difficult, but not. Going to class is a must if you want to understand the material. He teaches his class with a philosophy base. The book is not used during lecture, but there may be a few questions on the test from it. He teaches very well and will explain everything until you get it. Great guy! I would definitely take him again!

He is AMAZING.. Never had an easier teacher and I tend to slack. I'm getting an A just for showing up! It wont be that hard as long as you can get past the 12,238 papers he assigns the first few weeks.. Once you're past that it's smooth sailings~

If you do the work and really read the text, this class is INCREDIBLE. He makes you think critically and values your point if you have thought it out. If you skip class or don't do the work, you will fail.

He has a passion for this period however he spends a lot of the lectures off on tangents aboiut how he likes the area we are talking about or about a trip he took, also reading assignments and other papers feel repetitive. It's hard to give him exactly what he wants on the papers but you do learn in his class just keep up on the reading

Good teacher. If you need a HUM for core take him he is one of the best out of them all. I learned and it was not to hard. Had to read a little more than I like but it was mostly good stuff. He starts out with a lot of work but then it gets a whole lot easier!

Eppler requires a lot of work for a 3 credit hour class... If you are taking a lot of hours, don't take him. Lots of assignments that take alot of work and time. If you don't use your best of ability he will make sure to tell you. He just lectures, lectures, & lectures. Never lets you out early! The work he asks for is ridiculous!

Eppler is an okay prof. He talks and talks and talks for two-and-a-half hours, which gets dull really fast. A lot of the work feels like busy work, especially the papers we are required to do (4 of them, plus a final paper). He can be overwhelming; I personally wouldn't take him again.

He can be intimidating, but just keep with it. His major flaw is that he does the exact same thing every week--lecture, lecture, and more lecture. 2-and-a-half hours of talk just from him. Never really lets you out early either. If you can stand that, then you will be fine. The assignments are too bad, but he demands a lot of reading and papers due
