The class is extremely boring and the software used throughout the course is tedious. I have not learned anything specific from the instructor himself. Everything is self taught using the software, if you don't enjoy feeling like you're wasting your own time, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

I took him online so I did not get to know him personally, but he was understanding and let me join his online class after it was full. As long as you do the homework and practice in MyITLab the tests should be easy. At the end of the semester, he bumped my B up to an A, so that was a major plus.

Had Harper for CSCI138 and I looked him up on rate my professor first. Pretty accurate description. He's SO SO boring , and there is a quite bit of work to do through simnet and connect but overrall, it was REALLY EASY for me to receive a HIGH A in that class.

The online class is primarily done via MyITlab which is so-so at best, but Professor Harper is extremely easy to get in touch with over email and very willing to delete something should the software give you a tough time. If you're a modern, computer literate adult then this class should be quite easy.

He is a terrible monotoned teacher. Who just talks to hear himself talk. He doesn't know what he's talking about half the time. His materials is for his online classes and he requires you to be in class. Even though everything is pretty much online cause he just talks to talk not even about relevant things. I DO NOT recommend taking him!

Although he is very boring his expectations are clear. He tells you when things are due and when test are given so there are no surprises. He doesn't count attendance but most assignments done in class will turn into extra credit or you'll just have time to do homework. The class is homework heavy but super easy.

HE IS VERY BORING BUT OVERALL THE CLASS IS EASY. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND THE CLASS TO PASS JUST KEEP UP WITH YOUR ASSIGNMENTS. ALOS, HE DROPS THE 2 LOWEST GRADES AND LET STUDENTS RETAKE TEST.

I didn't think he was that bad, he is rather boring most of the time and does talk in a monotone voice, but as long as you do what he asks of you which isn't a huge task, you should have an A in the class. There may be better computer science professors out there, but if I had to take another class him it wouldn't be a problem.

This class was AWFUL I have already taken multiple computer classes and this was all review. There is a lot of work, but it is spread out, and if you know how to use computers you will be fine. Take this class online if you can In class all he did was read the textbook that was due the next class and he talks like Mountain Man... worst ever

Class is incredibly easy, however this professor is incredibly boring! Takes over the all of the computers so that students can't do work and are forced to listen to him talk about things you don't need to know. Take another professor!
