I've had tropiano for gen chem1 then orgo1 and I'm taking him again for orgo2. He is probably my favorite professor and the people that don't like him are the ones that don't show any effort/care. He's not going to give you an automatic A obviously, if you get to know him he's an awesome person/teacher and helps with anything you might need.

Tropiano is hard in grading but he is really nice and outgoing. If he sees that you are trying he really considers that into your grade. Awesome teacher, I have had him for two semesters and I would take him again over any lab professor. His lectures are long but they are just to help you out on the post lab and the tests. Take him if you can!

Hated the guy. What a nerd. His lectures were way too long, and he grades impossibly. If you can't relate to him then he hates you. Not even a real doctor, the only non-doctor in the science department. What an idiot to. He once said and I quote: "I handle the chemicals because you don't want any...death injuries to occur." Are you serious man?

If you don't take him for lab, you are really missing out on a great experience. He is always joking around and makes lab enjoyable. Also extremely helpful for questions during office hours. He grades the reports kind of tough, but he gives you an extra week to complete them.

The Tropster, as he prefers to be called, is a wild and crazy guy. He's hilarious because he always says the most politically incorrect things at the worst times and it makes for quite a bit of hilarity. He is admittedly more relaxed in orgo lab than he is with freshman in gen. chem lab.

very cool guy, you get a B unless you work fairly hard. he taught the material well, tests were easy. lab reports were graded sorta hard, difficult but possible to get an A- on them. he was tons of fun but not as easy as people said.
