Really entertaining guy, but incredibly hard marker. We had to create our own essay topics, and he marks extremely hard if he doesn't like your ideas. Very very picky. Also, his final exams questions are insane. Be sure to study the courseware for the exam, not just the main textbooks.

He was a great prof. He kept us entertained and politely tolerated all the morons in our class. His voice is a little bit monotone, but I don't think he can help that. All you really have to do to pass is show up and read his slides. It's a great class. I highly reccomend it!

The best prof at UW. Hilarious and entertaining. I wasn't sure how he'd tie all aspects of American pop culture to 'The Shining' but he did it. I attended every single class because I WANTED to - first time that's ever happened. I will take any course this man teaches.

He doesnt seem to like teaching.On the surface his lectures look slick with his flashy power point presentations but the real content is missing-v. superficial/boring.Does not lead discussions effectively.He is arrogant,shows bias,and does not care at all about the students.He said he was going to have to get **** to read/mark our papers.not cool.

DONT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HIM. Not quite sure what he wanted us to learn! He seemed to have a whole bunch of learning objectives, but never passed those on to us, rambled on and got off topic ALOT, found myself coming out of class and wondering what the lecture was on. -Starts out everyclass by saying "marty marty wheres the party" kinda weird!

This guy has a killer sense of humour! The course material was well-chosen, and lectures were always stimulating--plenty of multimedia integration. Truscello's the kind of prof with whom I'd like to go out & have a beer. (And talk about dreamy!)
