Lectures are conversational, not structured, which is why I found his classes fascinating! SUPER approachable. Highly recommend going to visit him during office hours at the beginning of semester. He will definitely work with you on your grade if you do.

Very loveable man. He does ramble a lot, but he likes it if you can tie his stories into the write-ups. Very flexible on requirements and deadlines. Read the book BEFORE class time because he does not cover content in a structured format so it helps if you have a base understanding of what is going on.

I loved him! Highly recommend. He does ramble a bit and early in the morning it could get slightly dull- but he had an incredible amount of fascinating information. I was bummed I had him near the end, I would have loved to take more of his classes!

He talks about Poland the entire class and does not give notes! And you have to go to class for attendance... so bring something to work on during the class. Your book is your only resource for tests. And dont leave in the middle of class or he will call you out.

Comment:

I took Euro. Intigration and Ethnicity and Politics with Reban. Really enjoyed them. Has extremely broad knowledge, and keeps things interesting and funny. Unfortunatly his lectures are wandering and often off topic. I wouldnt recommend taking the class if your type A when it comes to lectures/notes. Really generous with grades though!

He never stays on topic or talks about anything related to the test, but I just skimmed the chapters and studies the bold words and did ok. His grading scale is really weird, but it makes an 82% an A, which is the only reason I did good. His reviews before the test help a lot too.

Between him and the TA who barely spoke English lectures were near impossible to understand (not that he stayed on topic anyway). Even after studying the book his tests were extremely difficult and neither TA or him were avaliable for discussion.

Hes a great guy! If you talk to him, he has an amazing view of world politics. Hes from Czech Republic and has a hilarious dry sense of humor. His lectures can be boring sometimes and you have to know the vocab in the textbook to do well on his tests. great guy though!!
