She's overall a nice woman, but she definitely expects a lot from her students. The homework although not necessarily difficult, is outrageously time-consuming. She much expects lots of participation in 100% Spanish. Also, I never really found out many of my grades until the end of the course. Usually I'd just get papers back saying "muy bien."

If you want to learn Spanish, this instructor will guide you to speak, read, write, and comprehend. She keeps things moving from conversation to a video, to instruction, to writing. The summer session is like an immersion in the language, almost as good as living in a Spanish-speaking country for a few weeks. She pays attention to every student.

She is the best!!! Sure, she has students talk openly to the class in Spanish at all times, and it can be a little intimidating, but it really helps your Spanish, and she is super caring. Look through material for the weekly quizzes. If you put in enough work into the assignments, you'll get an A. Talking to her often always helps.

Even if you're only a little bit competent in Spanish, you'll do fine. Your grade is basically how much she likes you so make sure you participate and make it look you care, that's super important to her.

I love this woman! She is so helpful, and I feel like my speaking improved a lot after just one semester. She's really understanding about late assignments, but it is important to do the homework she assigns, even if it's a lot. Two written tests, two oral, lots of speaking and group projects. Participate and you'll do well.

She's a VERY easy professor. She gives practice quizes & worksheets & all. Just do the homework and much extra studying won't be necessary. Try to speak when you can - it'll help your grade & your memory of the content. EASY A!

She was nice and meant well, but very spacey. Lots of busywork for homework, but you don't actually have to do it-- it's simple exercises that are mindless. Worst part was her test grading: she takes off for everything, so you could not get any questions wrong but still get, say, a 70 on an exam. Not a good system. Essay grading was fair.

She is an extremely nice woman and will help you with whatever you need. Definitely a fast paced class, but not overly stressful. Essays and tests have a lot of red markings on them, but almost everything is handed back with a B+-A- range.

Terrible. I learned nothing new in this spanish class and she takes off points for EVERYTHING. Like everyone said - her class is full of busy work, she's absent-minded, and just a bad teacher overall. Avoid if at all possible.

Hard work does not necessarily guarantee an A in this class. Feels like high school AP Spanish class when it comes to the exorbitant amount of work. Essays are usually covered in red ink, none of which makes sense. Tests are graded extremely harshly, and grades on presentations are never fully explained. Came out with an A-.

She seems nice at first. Your first essay has red marks all over it and you think, "Wow, she's tough. But at least I'll learn." You're wrong. I think she assigns speeches to cut down on her work. And on tests, make NO mistakes--because if you're on a vocab section but your tense isn't right, you'll only get about a point for it.

If you're genuinely interested in spanish as a major or minor, do not take this class. Her class is built on busy work (of which there is at least an hour of every night, although very very easy) and her "teaching" leaves much to be desired. She seems like an honest person but she's a terrible teacher. I've never met a more absent minded individual

Although she is a nice woman, she utterly fails at conveying grammer to her students. She reads about each topic in class for about 10 minutes and considers that "teaching" a topic. Avoid this class if you can, unless you enjoy teaching yourself spanish.

Very patient and willing to help, but very inconsistent. you never know if an assignment is for a grade or not, but you can get an A if you just trudge through EVERY night's homework, which is a lot of busy work.

She doesn't hand out As, but she gets you to learn a lot. She is very nice and truly enjoys teaching Spanish. Disorganized, don't expect to follow exactly what's on the syllabus; keep track of things yourself. She won't make you feel bad if you say something that's incorrect.

Take classes with her. Easy grader, good teacher. You'll improve your Spanish--both writing and speaking. Very sweet lady. Gives tedious assignments/class is kinda boring but those annoyances areoutweight by all the good things and lack of stress.
