I've taken a total of four classes with Dr. Masters. He is a very knowledgeable professor. This class had a LOT of very technical information, but Dr. M was good about explaining it in understandable terms, and his exams were very fair. As long as you attend lecture and study, you will do well in any of his courses.

Comment:

Great professor. Very interested in the subject and knowledgeable. Assigns interesting articles to read for recitations. Test are all fill in the blank/short answer with a few mult. choice, but provides practice exams which help immensely. Don't really need the book, as he provides the important figures on his notes on Carmen. Interesting class!

Enthusiastic prof who knows a lot about what he teaches, which makes him great to listen to. Tests are easy, and the lectures are fun. I had to make up a test and he was very accommodating. His sweaters are delightful.

He spends most of the time prodding the class to figure out the etymology of a word in a lecture. He seems like a nice guy, but he definitely didn't show much interest in teaching this class. Meh. So-so.

Maybe this class style is better suited for a different type of person. I just didn't like the discussion based style of learning. Also, the students really don't get to choose when the tests are... we had the choice of Thursday or Monday. We picked Thursday, and it was every other Thursday from then on. He's a really nice guy though.

You have to take this professor. Hes such a nice guy. The class decides when tests are (which they are often moved around to suit the class) and we did the homework in class collectively! haha, we had some great convos in this class and its easy to get off topic with him. Beware, if u like lots of structure, hes not ur prof, hes real laid back

Great professor, this class was small discussion format is excellent with this guy. Just make lots of interesting comments and he will discuss them into unprecedented levels of digrssion, all of which is interesting. The material is interesting because the ramifications can be seen in everyday life, particularly if you are an athlete. Easy A.

Small class in a discussion format. No curve but there's two extra credit points you can earn. Class average for the five tests are in the range of 85-95. He's a nice guy! I recommend taking this class, it was an easy A, which means you don't study crazy long hours but still get an A.

He was a good professor. The quizzes are very tricky!! If you think you should deserve more ponts, turn it into the head TA and usually get points. He says stuff only covered in lecture wil be on the quizzes, which is true for the most part but they are tricky and hard. He is entertaining and not that boring.

The class overall is a bit dry but Dr. Master's clearly explains the material. He also seems to genuinely care tat students understand the information. He is really good about answering questions and getting back to you. His quizzes were based only on notes and overall the class was not that difficult.

he is a very nice guy and cracks a joke here and there. he started a new system in which he gives quizzes every week; which is kind of a bummer because you have to study every weekend to get a good grade. also the labs are kind of useless. but i still highly recommend this guy.
