Comment:

Really great teacher. Loves chemistry and can teach well if you do your part and be an active listener in class. Just understand his notes and you will do great. Attendance is not mandatory but if you attend class you would be really prepared and just need a quick review for tests.

Aladdin is a very smart man but he's smart to the point where he assumes that all he has to do is write on the board and his students should understand it without him having to explain. His notes are all example problems so it gets overwhelming. His tests are fair and he does drop the lowest grade out of the three tests but his class is confusing.

My favorite Professor at Wagner! His lectures are filled with information, he uses every minute. If he goes too fast or if you don't understand something just tell him and he'll go over it. He cares a lot about his students and wants them to do well in the class. Don't be scared to email him, he's really friendly!

Great professor. No book is necessary. his lectures are full of information. He writes everything on the board and explains it properly. He gives practice questions that are the same or very similar to the ones asked on the exams. 3 exams, only 2 count towards grade. required to attend class for notes. pop quizzes are mainly about abbreviation.

CH101 is mostly material I learned between 6th and 11th grade. It's an easy A even if you're a science-phobe. The final is questions from the 3 previous tests, and you can drop your lowest test grade. Very available via email, not so much in person. Forgot to come in to meet with me. Definitely only available during office hours. Very nice.

I never took a chemistry class in my life! Unfortunately, it is required for my major. At first, I really struggled with chemistry. Alauddin was going really fast and I was struggling bad. After my first test, he helped me and sat down with me privately. I aced the final and ended with an A. Alauddin is an asset to Wagner!

Alauddin has such a good heart. He truly does care for his students. He only wants the best from them. He constantly tells students to practice his examples in class (which are almost identical to tests). His tests are like his notes. He gives an extra test so lowest can be dropped. Best chem professor out there!! TAKE HIM!

Great man but lectures are so boring and tests are soo hard! Although I got an A, I had alot of trouble with this class, and had to memorize the notes! Tests are in such a weird format...try to get old tests...I am in 511 now and it is even harder...this coming from a 4.0 student...as a chem major its impossible to stand clear, but try if you can.

This man is extremely intelligent and can teach from memory, never really opening the book...but makes an introductory course WAY too hard for non-science majors. Tests are difficult as concepts not necessarily discussed in class are questions. If you know chemistry then you can try and take him, and you'll learn. Otherwise, steer clear.
