Comment:

This is one of my favorite classes I've taken so far. The class requires speeches so it can be scary for some, but she really helps get rid of that nervousness. She's the most inspiring teacher I've ever had! Not just college. The only negative was the class was long but nothing she can do. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

She was an excellent professor. She really cares about her students and I would love to take another class with her in the future. Do what she says and you pass. She makes the class feel safe and everyone's got along. I can say that I did however learn how to outline very well!!

Professor Turner is so hilarious and caring! She makes the class comfortable for 4 weeks before you can start speeches and she's a fair grader when she grades your speeches. You have a midterm you must study for, 15 chapters to read but really easy BUT the midterm is just 10% of grade. Gives extra credit and cares for her students. Would take again

She is passionate about what she does. She wants her students to fully engage in the learning process. Most class time you will sit there but make use of it by speaking with your group members. She filled in for another professor who went on medical leave, but she was a great teacher.

Professor Turner is really an amazing professor this was my very first public speaking class and it was amazing . By the end of the semester you leave way more confident than when you entered. I highly recommend her!!

Great English professor who is very inspirational. You can't say anything that's against her beliefs or opinions because she will get defensive ha. She's amazing though, one of the best teachers I've had in my life. She enjoys her job and will help anyone in need, you don't even have to ask for it. She has your back.

Easy A if you show up, do all your work, occasionally talk to her, etc. Essentially if she sees you're making an effort. She's a bit eccenctric and dramatic but she knows how to talk to students. She takes pride in her students' success, and she knows how to makes you feel proud of your accomplishments.

PROFESSOR TURNER is an excellent professor. she taught me how to think critically and understand what is going on around us. participate, attend, do homework, take care of your research and you will pass with a good grade. she emphasizes on letting students apply better research methodology and get better research quality and findings.

She means well and you can definitely learn a lot from her but she isn't very clear on assignments. Easy class, only one midterm and final is either a group speech or an individual speech (along with 3 other speeches).

Professor Turner is one of those professors that really cares for her students and will help you whenever you need the help. Please avoid what I did, finish her class strong. I got lazy in the end and didnt put in the details she really looks for in her final project. Every detail counts.

She is a great professor who tries to be understanding. Her lectures are long, and she encourages participation. Class discussions happen quite often and asks for your opinion but does shoot you down if you don't agree with her or if she doesn't agree with you. She truly tries and gets disappointed and really upset if you don't do your work.

She is the biggest sweetheart in the world! Absolutely loved this class. Professor Turner is not just a professor, but a mentor. Definitely helped me break out of my shell, and what I love is even though it's a classroom setting, she doesn't lecture. It's a conversation. You have to try pretty hard to NOT get an A in that class.

EXTREMELY understanding!! Just a great person in general. Took her in the summer. I hated speech and her class helped me become confident and to open up, even though we only had to do one speech. Which is also the great part, she allows the students to provide alternate ideas for the syllabus.

Horrible worse teacher I have ever encountered. She does not teach she just dictates and uses her students to create victims in life. She asks for your opinion but shoots you down if you don't agree with her or if she doesn't agree with you... best thing to do is just not say anything if you have her as a teacher youd just pass that way.

One of the best professors at CSUN. Professor Turner really cares about students and puts 100% into her students. She will help you gain confidence in your speaking and is very knowledgeable and experienced. Her method of teaching the speech class is the most effective and she helps many students come out of their shell.

She is a awesome professor who believes in students rights and motivates her students to do good in her class but in other classes as well. Her speeches are fairly easy and wriitten assignments not to bad. Take her she is a very good teacher.
