I took the class that was required for the b-school, whatever that is. I was warned it is the bschool's "filter course", and for many people it seemed to be. The guy is strict, but reasonable. I think he's one of the few professors who actually does his job, and I think he does it well. I would definitely recommend a class with Morrey.

Comment:

He is a tough grader and expects you to buy the book, but don't!!! You do not need it!!! Once half of the class drops the class he offers extra credit. He is willing to help and offers extra office hours. Handout review is the key to getting a good grade. Spend a lot of time on HW.

This guy seems cool at first, but can be a jerk to his students. He gets angry when he has to repeat things. He is a tough grader and homework is due down to the minute or you get a 0. If you get behind or miss a class you will fail. HW is graded for accuracy! Learn the material inside and out for the tests. Textbook isn't needed. I got an A.

Comment:

Very good at explaining material, and uses many examples. Regular graded homework pivotal to passing class, but it is very helpful in cementing your understanding. He can come off as acidic, but he genuinely wants you to succeed. Keeps good office hours and is always willing to help.

This class is not difficult. There is a fair amount of work, but hey, it's a graduate level course and the homework helps you learn the material. Handouts with all the notes are given in class and the homework assignments follow the class handouts. As stated in other reviews, he can be condescending and rude, but he does want to help you succeed.

Morrey comes off as a jerk but in all actuality he is a cool guy. The attendance isn't mandatory but it is recommended. Morrey knows his stuff so if you listen to him you will learn a lot. Do ALL the homework and you will understand the concepts. Also morrey knows what you will use and what you wont so he filters the work accordingly. I'd recommend

Prof. Kramer was can be cruel to people at times, but overall he was a great teacher. I passed his class the first time, so I highly recommend him!! Even though he can be a jerk in class, he has tons of office hours and really does want to help you out, so don't be afraid to ask him questions!

A great professor who expects you to have a pretty good grasp of the material. That should not be a problem if you show up to class regularly. Do the homework and you are ready for the tests. His replies to questions can appear abrupt to some but he really encourages questions and learning. He has great office hours.

People at this university disgust me (and hence I transfered to UofM.) This professor is one of the best at Eastern. He pushes you and actually makes you learn something. Yes, this means you have to study outside of class! Welcome to college, dummy. If you want a degree that you actually earned, then take this class and learn something.

I cant believe all the negatives about Kramer, yeah he is a bit of a jerk but he's prolly the greatest prof ive ever had the COB, he will even come in on saturdays. His class is extremely straight forward, study the handouts and homeworks and you will pass.

His exams are not that hard to pass with a decent grade, but the homework and quizzes are what get you. Each homework is worth 100 points and you can not make any mistakes or work with other students and he is not very helpful when asked about the homework! He is a nice guy, but horrible teacher. Also he likes to talk to you with food in his mouth

Morrey is kind of a jerk, and he is quite obnoxious. But with that being said, all in all, one of the best teachers I have ever had. Teaches a boring subject as well as anyone could. If you want to learn take this class b/c you will learn alot. Always willing to help even if mean coming in on the weekend. Best stat teacher at EMU.

Well, the experience I had with this "professor" if you can call him that was bad. He says he has a Ph.D. in statistical something but that does not mean that he knows how to teach. He makes **** comments, and he would not ever ever answear anything you ask him with a straight answear. He would try his hardest to make you look like a fool.

This guy is an A**. If you attempt to ask a question all he will do is yell at you and attempt to embarass you. I would transfer schools before I took a class with this guy again. I hope he retires so that no students will ever have to deal with him again.

Kramer is probably the least of the evils in the stats courses. I thought he was awesome actually. Do the homework and study the handouts and you should get an A. Final is CAKE easy. He also locks the door when class starts. FINALLY teaching the slap asses who come in 20 min late not to do that! You'll only pass if you put in the work.

Hardest class I have ever taken. Do all the work and you will pass, but you are going to spend way too much time on homework. I would never take this class again, it will kick your butt!!!!
