In my opinion he is the BEST prof at BU. Not only is he down to earth and approachable he knows what he is talking about understands students and doesn't pretend that he's the only prof giving assignments. I would take any class of his he is clear on what is important and gives good lectures if you can't pass Mott's classes Uni is not for you!!

hiliarous prof. classes are fun and entertaining. try to count how many ties he says "the main point for our purposes" in one class. if you talk to him one on one he's willing to help you with everything. definatly recommend this guy

Prof. Mott has an obvious passion for sport history. His lectures are interesting, although the assignments were a bit much, for a small percent of the total mark. Geared to male sports fans, as there was no real emphasis on womens sports to any degree.

great guy. very helpful and friendly. However,if you have a hard time listening and writting at the same time, taking notes could be a challenge. I still think it is worth your time to take history with him. Chapter summaries can help you out with notes

Excellent teacher. Very down to earth. Always friendly and seems genuinely interested in how his students are doing. Is capable of saying he doesn't know the answer to a question but can tell you where to go to find the answer.
