He seems like a nice guy but he was not willing to work with me and offer me extra credit, he grades the critique way too harshly & took off several points for things that were irrelevant. he never gave a clear structure for the critique. this class is an easy A BUT if you ever have anything going on in your personal life dont expect him to care.

Absolutely the BEST professor! He cares so much about his students. This is the easiest class to take in order to get your fine arts credit. Test reviews are exactly like the test. TAKE nelms he is one of the best professors on campus. Easy A!

Amazing lectures! He allows everyone to make an input to the topic. Makes each important figure in each topic a keyword/phrase to remember their importance. With experience, he is involved in music (former band member) and heavily suggests other works and locations of art. There is a major project that is needed to be completed outside of class.

Hes so great! Attendance is only required the first 5 classes but he makes lectures super interesting! Exams are directly off the study guide which is great and the critiques are straight forward! Highly recommend taking him!!

Nelms is very interesting and passionate about what he teaches. Attendance wasn't mandatory except for the first 5 classes. Critique Project is very straightforward and very easy to complete. Highly recommend to anyone needing to take Intro to Fine Arts!

Don't buy the book! The Book is on reserve at the library. Nelms is such a beautiful soul and he is so passionate about what he teaches. Attendance wasn't mandatory except for the first 5 classes, and after that me and my friend would take turns going then share notes. The hardest part was the project, do not wait last minute!

YES. YES. YES. SO good take him. I only went to class on test days, studied quizlet the night before, and ended the class with a 97! He uses a flawless point system that is so forgiving. There is three critiques bundled as one due at the end of the semester but, no word or page count and he ONLY counts off for punctuation. Best fine art professor!

Morris Nelms is the best! He's SO caring and kind. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he's the only person I'd genuinely be willing to show up to an 8am for. Take his class!

He is seriously awesome! Do not take any other class for your fine art credit. Test are super easy, class is only mandatory for two weeks, and the guy is full of joy. Easiest class I have had at Texas State.

First of all, he looks like Santa Clause and that alone was enough to get me trudging along to my 8am. Secondly, he's engaging, inspirational, thought-provoking, a beyond talented jazz musician and instructor. 4 tests. Critique. Final. Straightforward, easy material and lenient grading. He made me excited about a MWF 8am. Take him!

This is one of the easiest classes you can possibly take. The test reviews are almost identical to the tests and are found on quizlet. This prof is very passionate about what he teaches and seems to have a great time telling people about it. Take this class.

This professor makes his class as easy as possible. 4 tests and a critique project is all he grades. Tests are exactly like the review and he goes over the review, even for the final! You dont have to go to class but the lectures are usually interesting. Strongly recommend him!

Attendance was only mandatory the first 5 classes.. Entire class is lecture based, but he makes the content interesting and easy to understand. There were 5 grades, four tests + 1project. Test reviews were given a week in advance and the answers were usually given in class if there was participation. Would take again and again. Hilarious too!

first, he looks like Santa Claus and loves to sing anytime he can. He loves teaching about music and shows it through his teaching style. after the first week, only showed up to testing days and got a easy A. Review is the test. Very nice and an easy grader on the critique project.
