Don't take this professor for Anthropology 101 as he is a tough grader. You have to read a lot in his course. The class is also boring. No wonder so many people cheat on his tests.

I would not recommend this instructor because he doesnt know how to communicate with his students. He knows the material but he cannot share it with the class in a way that we can understand it or become interested in it.

I happen to LOVE professor Halliburton. The readings he assigns are really interesting and requires everyone to participate by having discussion leaders for each text we read throughout the semester. Sometimes the readings are long, but I still think this is my favorite class this semester. He is very caring about his students and encourages you!

Interesting course. There is a lot of reading and it is often very difficult. Overall an easy grader, but the class can be tedious.

I thought he's an amazing professor. I worked so hard in this class. Received grade in B for all exams and still ended up with C+ I am an honor student. He ruined my GPA horribly. I am not going to recommend him to anyone. He's not helpful at all. Avoid at all cost. Exams are crazy hard. Save your GPA by taking someone else.

He is a very nice person, he is willing to help the student who left behind if you talk to him. NOT good for second language student because of lots of readings. The text was tricky, need to find the MOST appropriate answer. Avoid him if English is your second language.

Prof. Halliburton is a nice guy and if you put a little effort into his class, you should do fine. His class can feel long sometimes, but the material is interesting. Disheartening to see how many people cheat on his tests. Its pretty obvious so many people cheat, and this will frustrate any ethical person. MC tests can be a little tricky though

Do not take this class. Prof Halliburton is super nice guy but puts you to sleep. His class makes absolutely no sense,he does not say cohesive sentences and no information in the class connects or is relevant to anything about anything. His tests are super confusing and the class is painfully slow. AVOID.

do not take this class. he is a nice guy but the class is too boring for any one to pay attention and if you cant pay attention you wont do well on tests. no reviews for tests, not clear on how he wants you to know the material. just dont do it

His tests are all multiple choice but you have to go to class to pass. He takes attendance every day and take notes of what he says. Easy to cheat. Three tests- not cumulative. VERY LOOOOONGGGG readings.. but what he says in class is what you mainly need to know. He's an okay professor, kind of puts you to sleep. Boring articles and chapters.

His lectures are SUPER long and boring. Gives reading packet that you must purchase to do readings on, along with textbook material. No Powerpoints, if you're that kind of student that enjoys them. Grade is based on group project that you present via recorded video presentation, 1 paper and tests.

Overall, Prof. Halliburton wasn't a bad professor, but he wasn't amazing either. His lectures are very long and sometimes boring because of his monotone voice. It's not a bad class to take though, just prepare to do the readings and participate in the class discussions every once in a while. He doesn't give study guides for exams either.

First off, Professor Halliburton is a genuinely nice person who's there to help you if ever you may need it. BUT, for this class, there's always an article to read and rather than lectures, there are class discussions led by classmates. There are also 3 papers based on the readings, a discussion you lead for the day, & a genealogy slide.

He's very passionate about the material. He's a little monotonous himself and doesn't breathe life into the material but he does allow good class discussion to be facilitated. Do the reading and you will have no problem with the papers. Be on time and participate often.

My biggest problem is that he doesn't teach. Every single class is someone doing a presentation on the reading and he gives his feedback at the end. No tests. Need to attend class to pass. Definitely have to buy the textbook but he has you buy an older version so you save a lot of money.

You don't need to go to class to pass, he literally just went over everything from the assigned reading. Not interesting at all. He assigns reading for every class and one short paper and a group project. Both are pass or fail - the group project is presented through video so it isn't hard. Tests are easy all of them were multiple choice.

Boring as hell. You can get away with never showing up to class as long as you keep up with the readings and chapters on the syllabus. Only three exams and one short paper that is fairly easy. However, he is extremely boring and reads from the textbook sometimes.

The instructor was not clear when it came to his assignments. He would go over different material and then test the students on something completely different. His test were so hard! he wouldn't put any material he would reviewed in class. His teacher ways are bad! he just lectures and is so boring! i would not recommend taking this professor
