Really enjoyed my class with MURRAY. The stories are surprisingly not boring and i did not mind reading them. He is a funny guy and often cracks jokes. Laid back class and he is a good person. I suggest taking this class if you need another English class. The tests are not that hard and there is no homework(other than reading the stories).

I took ENG 245, which is completely online, and was not particularly impressed. I felt I could have taught the class better, every single thing he wrote had like at least three typos, and his tests were all factual, having little to do with analysis of the story. But his "contract" system makes for an easy good grade if that's what you're into.

Not only an amazing professor, but such a good person as well. He is so laid back and genuinely accepting of any student that walks into his class. If you put in even just a little effort you'll learn so much from him.

Murray Callaway is the chillest professor everrr. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and felt like a valued individual. He loves creativity and will accept any project you pass in with open arms. Good man.

Only reason I took the class (Technical Writing) is that it was required. Of all the classes I have taken at UMaine I have never been more bored with the material than with this class. Material is crap and he can't hide the fact that it's a waste of time: returns assignments late and has unrealistic expectations on initial drafts. C- for Useless

I took the online class through WebCT. I've taken other online classes before and thought this was one of the better ones. As long as you read ALL the books and background readings it's an EASY A! It is a lot of work reading-wise but it's fun! The tests are incredibly easy and quick as long as you read everything.

I took this class through WebCT and I enjoyed it a lot. He gave us guidelines to follow to get an A, and I followed them with ease and got the anticipated grade. I recommend his online courses.

If you do the reading it is an easy class. I did not have any problems with him answering my emails either. Maybe through the years he has become accustomed to the online class! GREAT CLASS!!!

This is not a bad class at all. It is, however, done over WebCT which I find difficult to maneuver through. I prefer classes done through FirstClass. The stories are fun to read, and Professor Callaway is very relaxed. This is a definite take for anyone who likes short fiction.

Our class only met twice before he moved our class to online. He doesn't respond to emails & some of his assignments are so wordy you have no idea what he expecets. If you email him, it takes about a week for him to respond and he usually says something snotty like "well, you obviously can't read"

Boring teacher. Makes sure he doesn't know your name or else he WILL call on you ALL the time esp. when you have no idea what is going on. Once, we were let out early after we all fell asleep. But, on a good note, as long as you read the books, you can miss class and still get a B.
