Murray has been my favorite prof at Brock University! He is a brilliant painter and a fantastic teacher! His lessons and projects are geared specifically towards training the students in technique and colour theory, and his feedback is extremely helpful because he actually takes the time to explain WHY things do (or don't) work. FANTASTIC!

Murray is a professor who is hard to peg down. He can be helpful one day and the next he's misleading in his advise to students. I never knew what the marking scheme was in his class. I felt that sometimes I got marked better on things that were deserving of a lower mark and lower on things that should have been higher. Clarity would benefit th

He taught me so much, made my painting technique improve like no other painting prof. I loved his class, he had a great personality and was enjoyable to be around in those 5 hour studio classes. Would recommend him as a painting teacher if you are eager to improve!
